Flashing. Activation of the ESP/ASR systems. The systems optimise traction and improve the
directional stability of the vehicle.
Adapt your driving and moderate your speed.
On fixed. Fault in the ESP/ASR systems. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.

Door(s) openOn fixed, accompanied by anaudible signal. A door or the boot is still open.
Close the door or boot.
Ancillariesbattery chargeOn fixed. The ancillaries battery chargingcircuit has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack, transformer fault, ...).The warning lamp should go o
ff when the motor isstarted.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or
qualified workshop.
Electric power steeringOn fixed. The electric power steering has afault. Drive carefully at reduced speed.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.

Energy consumption/generation indicator
Energy consumption
On switching on the ignition, your vehicleneither consumes nor generates energy in itselectric traction system: the needle is in the
"neutral" position (provided that the heatingand air conditioning are off).
"Eco" zone
A system that informs the driver of the level of energy consumption or generation of the main battery.
"Neutral" position
"Char
ge" zone
The needle moves to the right in proportion to
the energy consumption by the vehicle. The needle is in this zone when the vehicle is
used so as to moderate electric consumption
and optimise its ran
ge.
The needle moves to the le
ft in propor tion to
the level of charge sent to the main battery,
during period of deceleration and braking.

Anti-slip regulation (ASR)
and electronic stability
programme (ESP)
Trajectory control systems
Deactivation
In exceptional conditions (starting a vehicle
which is bogged down, stuck in snow, on soft ground, ...), it may be advisable to deactivate
the ASR and ESP systems, so that the wheels can move freely and regain grip. ) Press this button button, located on
the dashboard (driver's side), until the corresponding symbol appears in the
instrument panel screen.
Activation
These systems are activated automatically each time the vehicle is started.
They come into operation in the event of a grip
or trajectory problem.
The displa
y of this symbol indicates
that the ASR and ESP systems are deactivated.
Reactivation
These systems are not reactivated automatically. )Press this button again to reactivate themmanually.
The symbol going off in the instrument panel
indicates the reactivation of the ASR and ESPsystems.
The anti-slip regulation (also known as Traction Control) optimises traction to prevent skidding
of the wheels, by acting on the brakes of the
driving wheels and on the engine.
The electronic stability programme acts on the
brake of one or more wheels and on the engine
to keep the vehicle on the trajectory required bythe driver, within the limits of the laws of physics.
This is indicated b
y flashing of this
warning lamp in the instrument panel.
The ASR/ESP systems offer exceptional safety in normal driving, butthis should not encourage the driver to take extra risks or drive at high speed.
The correct functioning of thesesystems depends on obser vation of the manufacturer's recommendations regardingthe wheels (tyres and rims), the brakingcomponents, the electronic componentsand the assembly and repair proceduresused by the PEUGEOT dealer network.
After an impact, have these systems checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.
Operating fault
The display of this message in the instrument panel indicates a malfunction of
these systems.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the ASR /ESP systems checked.
