Service indicator
When the ignition is switched on, press button Aseveral times in succession until the serviceindicator is displayed in the desired units. This point can be indicated in one o
f two ways:
- the miles (km) remaining,
- the time remaining to the next ser vice.
Operation
1.
The screen indicates that 620 miles (1 000 km) or 1 month remain before thenext service. 2.The screen indicates that the date for theservice has been exceeded.
Every time the ignition is switched on,
the ser vice spanner is displayed for a
few seconds to remind you that a ser vice should be carried out as soon as possible.3.Once the ser vice has been carried out, the
distance or the number of months to the next ser vice is displayed again.
System which informs the driver when the next service is due in accordance with the
manufacturer's servicing schedule.
The point at which the next ser vice is due is calculated from the last service indicator zeroreset.
S
ystem for manual adjustment of the brightness of the instruments and controls in relation to theexterior brightness.
With the lighting on or off, press button Ato select the function, then hold down to change
the intensity of the lighting of the instruments
and controls in "day" or "night" mode.
The intensity of the lighting increases each timebutton Ais pressed.
When the lighting reaches the maximumsetting, press again to change to the minimum setting.
When the lighting reaches the requiredintensity, release button A. The setting is saved when you release button A
and retained when the i
gnition is turned OFF.

This function gives an estimate of the number
of miles (km) that your vehicle can still cover,
based on the recent conditions of use (driving style, use of heating, air conditioning...).
Range indicator
When the remaining range falls to a low level, "---"
is displayed in the instrument panel.
The display of "---", indicating that theservice date has arrived, comes on automatically after a cer tain time and distance travelled. The screen then indicates the time remaining before the next service is due.
Resetting the service indicator to zero
After each ser vice, the ser vice indicator shouldbe rest to zero.
The procedures is as follows: )Switch off the ignition (switch in the LOCK
or ACC position).
)Press the reset button A
several times in succession until the service indicator is
displayed. )Press and hold the reset button for a fewseconds until the spanner flashes. )Press the reset button while the spanner is flashing to change the display from "---"to"CLEAR"
The distance (or time) remaining before thenext ser vice is due is displayed.

Linked systems which improve the stability andmanoeuvrability of your vehicle when braking,
in par ticular on poor or slippery surfaces.
Group of supplementary systems which help
you to obtain optimum braking in completesafety in emergency situations:
- anti-lock braking system (ABS),
- electronic brake force distribution (EBFD),
- emergency braking assistance (EBA).
Emergency or
assistance call
This system allows you to make an emergencyor assistance call to the emergency services or
to the dedicated PEUGEOT service.
For more information on the use of this function, refer to the "Audio and telematics"section.
When braking in an emergency, press very firmly without releasing thepressure.
Activation
The anti-lock braking system comes into
operation automatically when there is a risk of
wheel lock.
Normal operation of the ABS may make itself felt by slight vibration of the brake pedal.

Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the ser vicing booklet.
Other wise, have them checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Passenger compartment filter
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for
details of the replacement inter vals

Depending on the environment (e.g.
dusty atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace it twice as often if necessary.y A dirty passenger compartment filter may have
an adverse effect on the performance of the air conditioning system and generate undesirableodours.
Brake wear depends on the style
o
f driving, par ticularly in the case
of vehicles used in town, over shor t
distances. It ma
y be necessary tohave the condition of the brakes checked, evenbetween vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
the brake fluid level indicates that the brake
pads are worn.
Brake pads
Only use products recommended by PEUGEOT or products of equivalent quality and specifications. In order to optimise the operationof units as impor tant as the braking system, PEUGEOT selects and offers very specific products.
Parking brake
If a loss of effectiveness of thissystem is noticed, the parking brakemust be checked, even between two services.
This system must be checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Brake disc/drum wear

brake disc or drum wear, contact

OT dealer or a qualified
workshop.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL
In an emergency, press this button for more than2 seconds. Flashing of the green LED and a voice
message confi rm that the call has been made to the
PEUGEOT Emergency team * .
Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request. The green LED goes off.
A press
(at any time) of more than 8 seconds on this button, cancels the
request.
When the i
gnition is switched on, the green
LED comes on for 3 seconds indicating that
the system is operating correctly.
If the oran
ge LED fl ashes: there is asystem fault.
If the oran
ge LED is on continuously: thebackup battery must be replaced.
In either case, contact a PEU
GEOT. Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed b
y a voice message.
Press this button
for more than 2 seconds to requestassistance if the vehicle breaks down.

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM The green LED remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with b
y the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receiveslocating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to theappropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is not
operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined,
the call is dealt with directly by the emergency services (11 2) without the
vehicle location.

f an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and independentlyof the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made
automatically.

USING THE TELEPHONE
PAIRING A TELEPHONE/FIRST CONNECTION
The services offered depend on the network, the SIM card and the compatibility of the Bluetooth telephone used.
Consult your telephone's manual and your operator to fi nd out which services are available to you.
Activate the telephone's Bluetooth function andensure that it is set as visible to all (refer to the
telephone instructions).
Press MENU
then select "Bluetooth".
A window is displayed with " Searching device".
Select the telephone to be paired from
the list and confi rm with "OK". Onlyone telephone can be paired at a time.
Select " Search
".
For sa
fety reasons and because they require prolonged attention on the part of the driver, the operations for pairing of the Bluetooth mobile
telephone with the Bluetooth hands-free system of your audio system must be carried out with the vehicle stationary and the ignition on.
It is not possible to pair more that 5 telephones. Press MENUand select "Bluetooth"
. Select "BT management"
. If 5 telephones are
already paired, select the telephone to be deleted by pressing "OK"and select "Delete"
(refer to "Managing connections").
