WARNING
Ammonia vapours may escape if the
AdBlue ®
tan kcap is opened at high tempera-
tures. Ammonia vapours have apungent
odour and are particularly irritating to the
skin, to mucous membranes and to the eyes.
You may experienc eaburning sensation in
your eyes, nose and throat ,aswell as cough-
ing and waterin goftheeyes.

is particularly
important with respect to avoiding malfunc-
tions in the exhaus tgas aftertreatment sys-
tem.
If AdBlue ®
is pumped out of the AdBlue ®
tank,
e.g. during repair work, do not use this fluid to refill the tank
.The purity of the fluid can no
longer be guaranteed.

Engine oil
Th
eq uality of engine oils is decisive for the
function and service life of an engine. After
extensive tests, Mercedes-Benz approves
engine oils that correspond to the current
technical standard.
Therefore, only Mercedes-Benz approved
engine oils may be used in Mercedes-Benz
engines.
Further information on tested and approved
engine oils can be obtained from any
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre. Mercedes-
Benz recommends that you have the oil
change carried out at aMercedes-Benz
Ser vice Centre. Mercedes-Ben zapproval is
indicated on the oil container by the inscrip-
tion "MB Approval" and the cor respondi ng
designation, e.g. MB Approval 22 9.51.

approved for your vehicle. Petrol engines MB Approval

Additives
!
Do not use additive sinengine oil .This
could damage the engine.
Engine oil viscosity Viscosit
ydescribes the flow characteristi cs
of afluid. If an engin eoil has ahigh viscosity
rating, it flows slowly; the lower the viscosity,
the faster it flows.
Engine oil selection is based on the respective
outside temperatures and in accordance with
the SA Eclassification (viscosity). The table
below shows you which SA Eclassifications are to be used. The low-temperature proper-
ties of engin eoils can be significantly
impaired durin goperation due to, for exam-
ple, ageing or soot and fuel accretion. It is
therefore strongly recommende dtoobserve
regula roil changes using an approved engine
oil with the appropriate SA Eclassification. Brake fluid
G
WAR
NING
Over aperiod of time, the brak efluid absorbs
moisture fro mthe air ;This lower sits boiling
point.
If the boiling point of the brake fluid is too low,
vapour pockets may form in the brake system
when the brakes are applied hard (e.g. when
driving downhill). Thi simpairs brakin geffi-
ciency.
Yo us hould hav ethe brake fluid renewed at
regular intervals. The brake fluid change inter-
vals can be found in the Servic eBooklet.
Only use brak efluid approved by Mercedes-
Benz .Information abou tapproved brak eflu-
ids can be obtained from any Mercedes-Benz
