Driving aids
Winter mode, Dynamic mode and Dynamic Stability
Control (DSC) allow the driver to more finely tune the
vehicle driving characteristics to suit prevailing
conditions.
Winter mode . Use in slippery road conditions.
Selects 2nd gear for driving away, moderates engine
response and modifies gear change strategy to
ensure maximum possible traction is achieved.
Dynamic mode. Optimises vehicle systems to
deliver a high performance driving experience. If
Sport mode is now used with paddle gear selection,
there is no automatic gear change, even if the rev
limit is reached. Dynamic mode remains selected for
six hours after the engine is switched off
DSC. The default condition at engine start is DSC
on and is designed to control vehicle stability.
TracDSC is an alternative setting that optimises the
DSC settings for maximum traction in difficult
conditions. TracDSC enables a more involving and
focused driving experience. To select TracDSC, press
and release the button. Touch again to return to DSC.
To turn DSC off, press for more than \f0 seconds.
Message center The message center displays the
JaguarDrive Selector position,
P,R,N,D orS, the manual mode
gear selections 1to 6and the
JaguarDrive Control mode
selection.
When TracDSC is selected, the DSC warning lamp
will illuminate and the message center will briefly
display TracDSC\b
When DSC OFF is selected, the DSC warning lamp
will illuminate and the message center will display
DSC OFF until DSC is reinstated.

Door mirrors and blind spot monitoring
Mirror dip when reversing
This feature can be used to improve lower side views
while reversing. It can be enabled or disabled via the
touch\bscreen. From the Homescreen, select Vehicle,
then Veh\b settings, then Parking.
To set a dip position:
• with the electric parking brake on, select reverse gear
• adjust the mirror position to view the lower rear kerb and vehicle.
Subsequently, each time reverse gear is selected, the
set dip position will be automatically selected. The
mirrors will return to their normal position when
another gear is selected.Blind spot monitoring
Each mirror displays amber icons to warn of
overtaking vehicles in adjacent lanes. The monitored
area extends approximately 20 ft (6 meters) behind
your rear wheels and 8.2 ft (2.5 meters) to the sides.
It switches on automatically at speeds above \f0 mph
(\f6km/h) while in a forward gear. An amber dot
illuminates when speed is below the threshold.

Compatible Bluetooth cell phones can communicate
with the vehicle’s inbuilt telephone system.
Connection must be made with ignition on or engine
running.
Pairing and connecting using the touch screen
Up to 5 cell phones can be paired to the vehicle
system. Before starting the pairing process, ensure
your Bluetooth phone is in ‘discoverable’ mode,
sometimes referred to as ‘find me’ mode. See your
operating instructions for more information.
1\b From the touch\bscreen HOME MENU, select
Comms orPhone. A new menu will be displayed.
\f\b Select Settings thenSearch new\b
3\b Select your cell phone from the list.
4\b When prompted, enter the displayed four digit
code into your cell phone. See your operating
instructions for more information.
5\b Confirmation of connection will be displayed.
Changing a connected phone
To change from the currently connected cell phone to
another that has already been paired, follow the
steps below:
1\b From the HOME MENU, select CommsorPhone .
\f\b Select Settings thenChange phone .
3\b Select a phone and select the corresponding
Dock option.
Automatic downloading of phonebook entries
The vehicle phonebook can be updated each time a
cell phone is docked to the system.
1\b Select Settings thenPhone options .
\f\b Select Phonebook .
3\b Select Auto download Off orOn.

Making a call
1\b With a paired and active phone, select Phoneor
Comms from the Home screen.
\f\b From the Digit Dial screen, enter the number
using the on\bscreen keypad.
3\b Touch icon on the screen to make the call.

Calls via the steering wheel controls
Press and hold the Sourcehardkey to access
phone mode on the touch\bscreen and
message center
.
Use the scroll control to find the desired
phonebook contact.
Press to dial or answer a call. Press again to
end a call.
Telephone echo
If echo is experienced when using the phone,
reduce the audio system volume during the call.

Bluetooth selection
When the starter is turned on, the vehicle searches
for up to 5 previously connected phones, starting
with the most recent connection.
