Portable Audio Devices
This vehicle may have an auxiliary
input located on the radio faceplate
and a USB port located in the center
console. External devices such
as iPod
®, laptop computers, MP3
players, CD changers, USB storage
device, etc. can be connected to
the auxiliary port using a 3.5 mm
(1/8 in) input jack or the USB port
depending on the audio system.
See Auxiliary Devices on page 7‑37.
Bluetooth®
The Bluetooth®system allows users
with a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone
to make and receive hands-free
calls using the vehicle audio
system, microphone, and controls.
The Bluetooth-enabled cell phone
must be paired with the in-vehicle
Bluetooth system before it can be
used in the vehicle. Not all phones
will support all functions.

Steering Wheel Controls
w/cx:Press to change
favorite radio stations, select tracks
on a CD/DVD, or to navigate tracks
or folders on an iPod
®or USB
device.
b g: Press to silence the vehicle
speakers only. Press again to turn

than two seconds to interact with
OnStar
®or Bluetooth systems.

Instrument Panel Storage
This vehicle has an instrument
panel storage area located above
the radio. To open the cover, press
the button.
This vehicle has an auxiliary input
jack. See Auxiliary Devices on
page 7‑37 for more information.
Glove Box
Lift the glove box handle to open it.
Use the key to lock and unlock the
glove box.
Cupholders
There are two cupholders, with
removable liners, located in front
of the center console. There may be
cupholders located in the second
row seat armrest. To access,
pull the armrest down. There are
additional cupholders located on
each side of the third row seat
and in each door. There may be
cupholders located at the rear of
the center console. To access,
pull the handle down.
Armrest Storage
Vehicles with a rear seat
armrest, have two cupholders.
Pull the armrest down from the
rear seatback to access the
cupholders.

To navigate folders on an iPod or
USB device for vehicles with a
navigation system:
1. Go to the Music Navigator byfirst touching the center touch
screen folder button in the main
audio page.
2. While in Music Navigator, select the folder/artist/genre/category,
etc. using the touch screen.
3. Press and release
c xto
scroll through the selected music
list. Touch the track label on the
touch screen to highlight and
begin playing the track from
that list.
4. Press and hold
c xto quickly
scroll through the selected
music list
b g(Mute/Push to Talk): Press to
silence the vehicle speakers only.
Press again to turn the sound on.
For vehicles with Bluetooth or
OnStar
®systems, press and hold
for longer than two seconds to interact with those systems.

c x(End): Press to reject an
incoming call, or end a current call.
SRCE (Source/Voice
Recognition): Press to switch
between the radio, CD, and for
vehicles with, DVD, front auxiliary,
and rear auxiliary.
For vehicles with the navigation
system, press and hold this
button for longer than one second
to initiate voice recognition.

more information.
¨(Seek): Press to go to the
next radio station while in AM,
FM, or XM™.
For vehicles with or without a
navigation system:
Press
¨to go to the next track or
chapter while sourced to the CD
or DVD slot. Press
¨to select a track or a folder
when navigating folders on an iPod
or USB device.
For vehicles with a navigation
system:
1. Press and hold
¨until a beep
is heard, to place the radio into
SCAN mode, a station will play
for five seconds before moving
to the next station.
2. To stop the SCAN function, press
¨again.
3. In CD/DVD, iPod, or AUX USB, press and hold to quickly move
forward through the tracks.
Release to stop on the desired
track.

increase or to decrease the volume.

Press near the horn symbols or
press on the steering wheel pad

Read the following pages to
become familiar with the audio
system's features.
{WARNING
Taking your eyes off the road
for extended periods could
cause a crash resulting in
injury or death to you or others.
Do not give extended attention to
entertainment tasks while driving.
This system provides access to
many audio and non audio listings.
To minimize taking your eyes off the
road while driving, do the following
while the vehicle is parked:
.Become familiar with the
operation and controls of
the audio system.

Audio Players
CD Player
Playing a CD
Insert a CD partway into the slot,
label side up. The player pulls it in
and the CD should begin playing.
ZEJECT :Press and release
to eject the disc that is currently
playing. A beep sounds and
Ejecting Disc displays. Once
the disc is ejected, Remove
Disc displays. The disc can be
removed. If the disc is not removed,
after several seconds, the disc
automatically pulls back into the
player.
f(Tune): Turn to select tracks on
the CD that is currently playing.
©SEEK¨: Press©to go to the
start of the current track, if more
than ten seconds on the CD have
played. Press
¨to go to the next
track.
If either arrow is held, or pressed
multiple times, the player continues
moving backward or forward
through the tracks on the CD.
sREV (Fast Reverse): Press
and hold to reverse playback
quickly within a track. Sound will
be heard at a reduced volume.
Release to resume playing the
track. The elapsed time of the
track displays.
\FWD (Fast Forward): Press
and hold to advance playback
quickly within a track. Sound will
be heard at a reduced volume.
Release to resume playing the
track. The elapsed time of the
track displays. RDM (Random):
CD tracks can be
listened to in random, rather than
sequential order with the random
setting. To use random, press the
softkey under the RDM label until
Random Current Disc displays.
Press the softkey again to turn
off random play.
BAND: Press to listen to the radio
when a CD is playing. The CD
remains inside the radio for future
listening.
CD/AUX (CD/Auxiliary): Press to
select between CD, or Auxiliary.
.When a CD is in the player
the CD icon and a message
showing the disc and/or track
number displays.
.If an auxiliary input device is not
connected, “No Input Device
Found” displays.

will play.

.If an auxiliary input device is
not connected, “No Aux Input
Device” displays.
.When a disc is in either slot, the
DVD/CD text tab and a message
showing the track or chapter
number displays.
.If an auxiliary input device is not
connected, and a disc is in both
the DVD slot and the CD slot the
DVD/CD AUX button only cycles
between the two sources and
does not indicate “No Aux Input
Device”.
.If a front auxiliary input device
is connected, the DVD/CD AUX
button cycles through all
available options.
If a disc is inserted into the top DVD
slot, the rear seat operator can turn
on the video screen and use the
remote control to only navigate
the CD tracks through the remote
control.

Radios with CD and DVD
Audio Output
Only one audio source can be heard
through the speakers at one time.
An audio source is defined as
DVD slot, CD slot, XM, FM/AM,
Front Auxiliary Jack, or Rear
Auxiliary Jack.
Press
Oto turn the radio on.
The radio can be heard through
all of the vehicle speakers.
Front seat passengers can listen
to the radio (AM, FM, or XM) by
pressing BAND or DVD/CD AUX to
select the CD slot, DVD slot, front
or rear auxiliary input (if available). If a playback device is plugged into
the radio’s front auxiliary input jack
or the rear auxiliary jack, the front
seat passengers are able to listen
to playback from this source through
the vehicle speakers. See
“Using
the Auxiliary Input Jack(s)” later
in this section, or “Audio/Video
(A/V) Jacks” under,Rear Seat
Entertainment (RSE) System on
page 7‑39 for more information.
In some vehicles, depending on
audio options, the rear speakers
can be muted when the RSA power
is turned on. See Rear Seat Audio
(RSA) System on page 7‑48 for
more information.
Playing an MP3/WMA CD-R or
CD-RW Disc
The radio has the capability of
playing an MP3/WMA CD-R or
CD-RW disc. For more information
on how to play an MP3/WMA CD-R
or CD-RW disc, see MP3 (Radios
with CD/USB) on page 7‑24 or
MP3 (Radios with CD/DVD) on
page 7‑30.
CD Messages
Optical Error: The disc was
inserted upside down.
Disk Read Error: A disc was
inserted with an invalid or unknown
format.
