Automatic transmission
Select a shift position appropriate for the driving conditions.
■Shifting the shift lever
While the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in IGNITION
ON mode, depress the brake pedal and move the shift
lever. 
■ Shift position uses
*1: To improve fuel consumption and reduce noises, set the shift lever in
the “D” position for normal driving.
*2: By selecting shift ranges using “S” mode, you can control engine brak-ing forces.

Switch the display
Display items can be switched
by pressing the “DISP” button.
Trip information■ Current fuel consumption 
Displays the current rate of fuel consumption. 
■ Average fuel consumption 
Displays the average fuel consum ption since the vehicle was last
refueled.

Driving range 
Displays the estimated maximum di stance that can be driven with
the quantity of fuel remaining.
● This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As
a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
● When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may
not be updated.
■Average vehicle speed
Displays the average vehicle speed since the engine was started.
■ Driving distance 
Displays the driving distance since the engine was started.
■ Tire inflation pressure
Displays inflation pressure of ea ch tire. There is no correlation
between the order of the display ed values and the tire positions.
It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may
also take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure after inflation
pressure has been adjusted.

Trailer towing
Your vehicle is designed primarily as a passenger-and-load car-
rying vehicle. Towing a trailer will have an adverse effect on han-
dling, performance, braking, durability, and fuel consumption.
For your safety and the safety of others, do not overload the vehi-
cle or trailer.
To tow a trailer safely, use extreme care and drive the vehicle in
accordance with the trailer’s characteristics and operating condi-
tions.
The vehicle stability and braking performance are affected by
trailer stability, brake setting and performance, and the hitch.
Toyota warranties do not apply to damage or malfunction caused
by towing a trailer for commercial purposes.

requirements such as a towing kits, etc.
