Resetting Service Interval Display It is only possible to reset the Service Interval Display, if a service message or at least a pre-warning is shown on the display of the instrument cluster. We recommend having this resetting performed by a specialist garage.The specialist garage:
resets the memory of the display after the appropriate inspection;

makes an entry in the Service schedule;

affix the sticker with the entry of the following service interval to the side of the
dash panel on the driver's side. Reset the service interval displays by using the reset button
page 15 on the trip

We recommend that you do not reset the Se
rvice Interval Display
yourself otherwise
this can result in the service interval display being incorrectly set, which may also result in problems with operation of your vehicle.

The data displayed is the same after resetting the display with flexible service inter-
vals (QG1) using the reset button as that for a vehicle with fixed service intervals (QG2). We therefore recommend having the Service In
terval Display reset
only by an author-
ised Škoda Service Partner who is familiar with the procedure for resetting the display with a vehicle system tester.



For safety reasons the lever must always be firmly pushed up to avoid the
steering wheel altering its po
sition unintentionally when driving - risk of acci-
dent!

If you adjust the steering wheel furthe
r towards the head, you will reduce
the protection offered by the driver airbag in the event of an accident. Check that the steering wheel is
aligned to the chest.

When driving, hold the steering wheel
with both hands firmly on the outer
edge in the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock po
sition. Never hold the steering wheel
firmly in the 12 o'clock position or in another way (e.g. in the middle of the steering wheel or at the inne
r steering wheel edge). In such
cases, injuries to the
arms, the hands and the head can occur
when the driver airbag is deployed.

WARNING

The front seats and the head restraints must always be adjusted to match
the body size of the seat occupant as well as the seat belts must always be correctly fastened in order to provide an optimal protection for you and your occupants.
The front passenger must maintain a distance of at least 25 cm to the dash

Always keep your feet in the footwel
l when the vehicle is being driven -
never place your feet on the instrument panel, out of the window or on the surfaces of the seats. You will be exposed to increased risk of injury if it becomes necessary to apply the brake or in the ev
ent of an accident. If an airbag is
deployed, you may suffer fatal injuries wh
en adopting an incorrect seated posi-
tion!
The seat backrests must not be angled
too far back when driving otherwise
this will affect proper operation of the se
at belts and of the airbag system - risk
of injury!Correct seated position for the occupants on the rear seats Occupants on the rear seats must sit upright, keep the feet in the foot- well and must have their se
at belts correctly fastened.
To reduce the risk of injury in the event of
a sudden braking manoeuvre or an accident,
the occupants on the rear seats must observe the following.
Adjust the head restraints so that the top edge of the head restraints is at the same
level as the upper part of your head

If you are transporting

Therefore, your vehicle can only be operated with diesel fuel which complies with
the standard
EN 590
(standard
DIN 51628
in Germany, standard
ÖNORM C 1590
in
Austria). Filling the tank even only once wi
th diesel fuel which does not comply with
the standard, can result in damage to the engine parts, the lubrication system, the fuel and exhaust system.
If by mistake you have refuelled with a different fuel other than the diesel fuel
which complies to the above mentioned standards (e.g. petrol), do not start the engine or switch on the ignition! This can result in
severe engine damage! Contact a specialist
garage and have the fuel sy
stem of the engine cleaned.

Water which has collected in the fuel fi
lter can result in engine problems.

Your vehicle is not adapted for use of biofue
l (RME), therefore this fuel must not be
refuelled and driven. The use of biofuel (RME) can lead to damage to the engine or the fuel system.Operation in winterWinter-grade diesel fuel A different grade of diesel fuel is available at
filling stations in winter than during the
summer. Using “summer-grade diesel fuel” at temperatures below 0°C can result in operational problems because th
e diesel becomes viscous as a result of paraffin sepa-
ration. It is therefore the case that the standard
EN 590
(standard
DIN 51628
in Germany,
standard
ÖNORM C 1590
in Austria) is the diesel fuel class prescribed for certain
periods of the year which can also be purc
hased at the correspond
ing time during the
year. “Winter-grade diesel fuel” will still operate properly even at a temperature of - 20°C. It is often the case in countries with different climatic conditions that diesel fuels avail- able have a different temperature characte
ristic. The authorised Škoda Service Part-
ners and filling stations in the country concer
ned will be able to provide you with infor-
mation regarding the diesel fuels available. Prewarming fuel The vehicle is fitted with a fuel filter prewarming system. This secures operation of a vehicle using diesel fuel down to an environmental temperature of -25°C.
Caution
It is not permitted to add the various fuel
additives on the market, including petrol, to

Closing fuel filler cap– Screw on the cap by turning it to the right until it is heard to lock. – Lock the fuel filler cap on the fuel filler tube by turning the vehicle key to the right
and withdraw the key.
– Press the fuel tank flap closed. The correct grades of fuel for your vehicle are stated on a sticker affixed to the inside of the fuel filler flap. Further information on fuel
