Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Anti-lock
Braking System (ABS) fi x e d .
The anti-lock braking
system has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer without delay.
Dynamic
stability control
(ESP/ASR) fl a s h i n g .
The ESP/ASR regulation is
active. The system optimises traction and improves the
directional stability of the vehicle.
fi x e d . Unless it has been
deactivated with the indicator
lamp on the button on, the
ESP/ASR system is faulty. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Engine
autodiagnosis system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault.
This lamp should switch off when the engine is sta
rted.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT deale r
urgently.
fl a s h i n g . The engine management
system has a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic convertor.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Low fuel level fi x e d . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s o n t h e r e
remains
approximately
5 litres of
fuel in the tank. You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out of fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the
i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n , u n t i l a s u f fi c i e n t a d d i t i o n
of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres
(petrol) or 48 litres (Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel
as this could damage the emission control and
injection systems.

ACCESS
The key cannot be removed from
t h e l o c k u n t i l t h e c a p i s r e fi t t e d .
FUEL TANK
Fuel tank capacity: approximately
50 litres (petrol) or 48 litres (Diesel).
O p e n i n g t h e fi l l e r c a p m a y c r e a t e a
noise a caused by an inrush of air. This
vacuum is entirely normal, resulting
from the sealing of the fuel system.
T o fi l l t h e t a n k i n c o m p l e t e s a f e t y :
the engine must be switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
W h e n y o u h a v e fi l l e d t h e t a n k :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
remove the cap and hook it onto
the clip located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , but do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the pump ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached this warning
lamp comes on on the instru-
m e n t p a n e l . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s
on there remains approximate-
ly 5 litres of fuel in the tank.
You must refuel as soon as possible to
avoid running out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer also
to the "Checks" section.
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used depending on your engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least
5 litres, in order to be taken into account
by the fuel gauge.
