Once you have confirmed the name and loca-
tion, the system begins the call.
(speak digits)
When prompted by the system, say the number
you wish to call. (See ªHow to say numbersº
earlier in this section and ªMAKING A CALL BY
ENTERING A PHONE NUMBERº earlier in this
section for more details.)
ªRedialº
Use the Redial command to call the last number
that was dialed within the vehicle.
NOTE:
The system will not redial the last number dialed
by the handset keypad.
The system acknowledges the command, re-
peats the number and begins dialing.
If a redial number does not exist, the system
announces, ªThere is no number to redialº and
ends the VR session.
ªCallbackº
Use the Call Back command to dial the number
of the last incoming call within the vehicle.
The system acknowledges the command, re-
peats the number and begins dialing. If a callback number does not exist, the system an-
nounces, ªThere is no number to call backº and
ends the VR session.
International
For dialing more than 10 digits or any special
characters, say ªInternationalº. When the sys-
tem acknowledges the command, the system
will prompt you to speak the number.
DURING A CALL
During a call there are several command op-
tions available. Press the
button on the
steering wheel to mute the receiving voice and
enter commands.
c ªHelpº Ð The system announces the avail-
able commands.
c ªGo back/Correctionº Ð The system an-
nounces ªGo back,º ends the VR session and
returns to the call.
c ªCancel/Quitº Ð The system announces
ªCancel,º ends the VR session and returns to
the call.
c ªSend/Enter/Call/Dialº Ð Use the Send
command to enter numbers during a call. For
example, if you were directed to dial an
extension by an automated system:
Say: ªSend one two three four.º The system acknowledges the command and
sends the tones associated with the num-
bers. The system then ends the VR session
and returns to the call.
c ªTransfer Callº Ð Use the Transfer Call com-
mand to transfer the call from the
BluetoothT Hands-Free Phone System to the
cellular phone when privacy is desired.
The system announces, ªTransfer call. Call
transferred to privacy mode.º The system
then ends the VR session.
You can also issue the Transfer Call com-
mand again to return to a hands-free call
through the vehicle.
c ªMuteº Ð Use the Mute command to mute
your voice so the other party cannot hear it.
Use the mute command again to unmute
your voice.
NOTE:
If the other party ends the call or the cellular
phone network connection is lost while the Mute
feature is on, the Mute feature may need to be
reset to ªoff.º

rectly, the voice command indicator on the

Edit Name
Edit the user name using the keypad displayed
on the screen.
Store Result
When this item is turned to ON, the voice
recognition system can easily recognize the
user's voice that it has learned.
Reset Result
Resets the user's voice that the voice recogni-
tion system has learned.Continuous Learning
When this item is turned to ON, you can have
the system learn the voice commands in suc-
cession, without selecting commands one by
one.
Minimize voice feedback
To minimize the voice feedback from the sys-
tem, perform the following steps.
1. Push the
SETTINGbutton on the instru-
ment panel.
2. Highlight the ªOthersº key using the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER
button.
3. Highlight the ªVoice Recognitionº key and then push the ENTERbutton.
4. Highlight the ªMinimize Voice Feedbackº key and push the ENTERbutton.
5. The item is turned to ON and the vocal feedback is reduced if the voice recogni-
tion system is activated.

Additional information
cThe TPMS does not monitor the tire pressure
of the spare tire.
c The TPMS will activate only when the vehicle
is driven at speeds above 16 MPH (25 km/h).
Also, this system may not detect a sudden
drop in tire pressure (for example a flat tire
while driving).
c The low tire pressure warning light does not
automatically turn off when the tire pressure
is adjusted. After the tire is inflated to the
recommended pressure, the vehicle must be
driven at speeds above 16 MPH (25 km/h) to
activate the TPMS and turn off the low tire
pressure warning light. Use a tire pressure
gauge to check the tire pressure.
c Tire pressure rises and falls depending on
the heat caused by the vehicle's operation
and the outside temperature. Low outside
temperature can lower the temperature of
the air inside the tire which can cause a
lower tire inflation pressure. This may cause
the low tire pressure warning light to illumi-
nate. If the warning light illuminates in low
ambient temperature, check the tire pres-
sure for all four tires. c
You can also check the pressure of all tires
(except the spare tire) on the display. (See
ªHOW TO USE INFO BUTTONº in the ª4.

After tire rotation is performed, tire pressure
will not be displayed in the actual tire posi-
tion. Drive the vehicle at over 25 MPH (40
km/h) for approximately 10 minutes to reset
the display.

controlsº section and ªTIRE PRESSURE MONI-
TORING SYSTEM (TPMS)º in the ª6. In case of
emergencyº section.
WARNING
c If the low tire pressure warning light illumi-
nates or LOW PRESSURE information is dis-
played on the monitor screen while driving,
avoid sudden steering maneuvers or abrupt
braking, reduce vehicle speed, pull off the
road to a safe location and stop the vehicle
as soon as possible. Driving with under-
inflated tires may permanently damage the
tires and increase the likelihood of tire fail-
ure. Serious vehicle damage could occur and
may lead to an accident and could result in
serious personal injury. Check the tire pres-
sure for all four tires. Adjust the tire pressure
to the recommended COLD tire pressure
shown on the Tire and Loading Information
label to turn the low tire pressure warning
light OFF. If you have a flat tire, replace it
with a spare tire as soon as possible. (See
ªFLAT TIREº in the ª6. In case of emergencyº
section for changing a flat tire.)
c When a spare tire is mounted or a wheel is
replaced, tire pressure will not be indicated,
the TPMS will not function and the low tire
pressure warning light will flash for approxi-
mately 1 minute. The light will remain on
after 1 minute. Contact your INFINITI retailer
as soon as possible for tire replacement
and/or system resetting.

CRUISE CONTROL OPERATIONS
The cruise control allows driving at a speed
between 25 to 89 MPH (40 to 144 km/h) without
keeping your foot on the accelerator pedal.
To turn on the cruise control, push the MAIN
switch on. The CRUISE indicator light will come
on.
To set cruising speed, accelerate the vehicle to
the desired speed, push the SET/COAST switch and release it. (The CRUISE SET indicator will
illuminate in the instrument panel.) Take your
foot off the accelerator pedal. Your vehicle will
maintain the set speed.
c
To pass another vehicle, depress the accel-
erator pedal. When you release the pedal,
the vehicle will return to the previously set
speed.
c The vehicle may not maintain the set speed
on winding or hilly roads. If this happens,
drive without the cruise control.
To cancel the preset speed, use one of the
following methods:
a) Push the CANCEL switch. The SET indica- tor light will turn off.
b) Tap the brake pedal. The SET indicator light will turn off.
c) Turn the MAIN switch off. Both the CRUISE and SET indicator lights will turn off.
c If you depress the brake pedal while pushing
the RESUME/ACCELERATE or SET/COAST
switch and reset at the cruising speed, the
cruise control will disengage. Turn the MAIN
switch off once and then turn it on again.
c The cruise control will automatically cancel if
the vehicle slows more than 8 MPH (12
km/h) below the set speed.

cIf you move the selector lever to the N
(Neutral) position, the cruise control will be
canceled.
To reset at a faster cruising speed, use one of
the following methods:
c Depress the accelerator pedal. When the
vehicle attains the desired speed, push and
release the SET/COAST switch.
c Push and hold the RESUME/ACCELERATE
switch. When the vehicle attains the desired
speed, release the switch.
c Push, then quickly release the
RESUME/ACCELERATE switch. Each time you
do this, the set speed will increase by about
1 MPH (1.6 km/h).
To reset at a slower cruising speed, use one of
the following methods:
c Lightly tap the brake pedal. When the ve-
hicle attains the desired speed, push the
SET/COAST switch and release it.
c Push and hold the SET/COAST switch. Re-
lease the switch when the vehicle slows
down to the desired speed.
c Push, then quickly release the SET/COAST
switch. Each time you do this, the set speed
will decrease by about 1 MPH (1.6 km/h). To resume the preset speed,
push and release
the RESUME/ACCELERATE switch. The vehicle
will resume the last set cruising speed when the
vehicle speed is over 25 MPH (40 km/h). The Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) system au-
tomatically maintains a selected distance from
the vehicle traveling in front of you according to
that vehicle's speed (up to the set speed), or at
the set speed when the road ahead is clear.
The ICC function can be set to one of two cruise
control modes:
c
Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode:
For maintaining a selected distance between
your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you
up to the preset speed.
c Conventional (fixed speed) cruise control
mode:
For cruising at a preset speed.
WARNING
cAlways drive carefully and attentively when
using either cruise control mode. Read and
understand the Owner's Manual thoroughly
before using the cruise control. To avoid se-
rious injury or death, do not rely on the sys-
tem to prevent accidents or to control the
vehicle's speed in emergency situations. Do
not use cruise control except in appropriate
road and traffic conditions.

To set cruising speed,accelerate your vehicle to
the desired speed, push the SET/COAST switch
and release it. (Vehicle ahead detection indica-
tor, set distance indicator and set vehicle speed
indicator come on.) Take your foot off the
accelerator pedal. Your vehicle will maintain the
set speed. When the SET/COAST switch is pushed under
the following conditions, the system cannot be
set and the ICC indicators will blink for approxi-
mately 2 seconds:
c
When traveling below 25 MPH (40 km/h) and
the vehicle ahead is not detected
c When the selector lever is not in the D, DS or
Manual mode
c When the windshield wipers are operating at
low (LO) or high speed (HI). If the vehicle is
equipped with a rain-sensing auto wiper, the
system may cancel when the wipers are
operating at the intermittent (INT) speed.
c When the brakes are operated by the driver When the SET/COAST switch is pushed under
the following conditions, the system cannot be
set.
A warning chime will sound and the ICC indica-
tors will blink.
c
When the SNOW mode switch is ON (To use
the ICC system, turn off the SNOW mode
switch, push the MAIN switch to turn off the
ICC and reset the ICC switch by pressing the
MAIN switch again.)

MAIN switch to turn off the ICC system and
reset the ICC switch by pushing the MAIN

c When driving into a strong light (i.e., sun-

c When a wheel is slipping (To use the ICC
system, make sure the wheels are no longer
slipping. Push the MAIN switch to turn off
the ICC, and reset the ICC system by pushing
the MAIN switch again.)

WARNING
Normally when controlling the distance to a
vehicle ahead, this system automatically accel-
erates or decelerates your vehicle according to
the speed of the vehicle ahead. Depress the
accelerator to properly accelerate your vehicle
when acceleration is required for a lane
change. Depress the brake pedal when decel-
eration is required to maintain a safe distance
to the vehicle ahead due to its sudden braking
or if a vehicle cuts in. Always stay alert when
using the ICC system.
