Setting the Clock
To set the time and date for the radio with CD, DVD,
and USB Port:1. Turn the ignition key to ACC/ACCESSORY or ON/RUN, then press
O, to turn the radio on.
2. Press
Hto display HR, MIN, MM, DD, YYYY
(hour, minute, month, day, and year).
3. Press the softkey located under any one of the labels to be changed.
4. To increase or decrease the time or date, turn
fclockwise or counter‐clockwise.

Satellite Radio
XM is a satellite radio service that is based in the
48 contiguous United States and 10 Canadian
provinces. XM satellite radio has a wide variety
of programming and commercial-free music,
coast-to-coast, and in digital-quality sound. A fee is required to receive the XM service.

Portable Audio Devices
This vehicle may have an auxilliary input, located
on the audio faceplate, and a USB port located on the
instrument panel or in the center console. External
devices such as iPod
®, laptop computers, MP3 players,
CD changers, USB storage device, etc. can be
connected to the auxiliary port using a 3.5 mm (1/8 in.)
input jack or the USB port depending on the audio
system.

w/x:Press to change favorite radio stations, select
tracks on a CD/DVD, or to navigate tracks or folders on
an iPod
®or USB device.
b g:Press to silence the vehicle speakers only.
Press again to turn the sound on. Press and hold longer
than two seconds to interact with OnStar
®or Bluetooth
systems, if equipped.

e−e: Increases or decreases volume.
c:Press to reject an incoming call, or to end a call.
SRCE: Press to switch between the radio, CD, and for
vehicles with, DVD, front auxiliary, and rear auxiliary.
¨: Press to seek the next radio station, the next track
or chapter while sourced to the CD or DVD slot, or to
select tracks and folders on an iPod
®or USB device.

Bluetooth®
For vehicles with an in-vehicle Bluetooth system, it
allows users with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone to
make and receive hands-free calls using the vehicle’s
audio system and controls.
The Bluetooth enabled cell phone must be paired with
the in-vehicle Bluetooth system before it can be used
in the vehicle. Not all phones will support all functions.

Navigation System
The vehicle's navigation system provides detailed
maps of most major freeways and roads throughout
the United States and Canada. After a destination has
been set, the system provides turn-by-turn instructions
for reaching the destination. In addition, the system can
help locate a variety of points of interest (POI), such as
banks, airports, restaurants, and more.

Ultrasonic Parking Assist
This feature uses sensors on the rear bumper to
detect objects while parking the vehicle. URPA comes
on automatically when the shift lever is moved into
R (Reverse) and operates at speeds less than 8 km/h
(5 mph). URPA uses audio beeps to provide distance
and system information.
Keep the sensors on the vehicle's rear bumper clean to
ensure proper operation.
The system can be disabled by pressing the rear park
aid disable button located next to the radio.

Power Outlets
Accessory power outlets can be used to connect
auxiliary electrical equipment, such as a cellular
telephone.
There are two under the climate controls, one inside the
center floor console, one on the rear of the center floor
console and one accessory power outlet in the rear
cargo area on the passenger side. The accessory power outlets are powered, even with
the ignition off. Continuing to use accessory power
outlets while the ignition is in LOCK/OFF may cause
the vehicle's battery to run down.
Universal Remote System
The Universal Home Remote System allows for garage
door openers, security systems, and home automation
devices to be programmed to work with these buttons in
the vehicle.

Fog Lamps
For vehicles with fog lamps, the control is located next
to the exterior lamps control on the instrument panel, to
the left of the steering column.
The ignition must be in the ON/RUN position for the fog
lamps to come on.
#(Fog Lamps):Press to turn the fog lamps on or off.
A light will come on in the instrument panel cluster.
When the fog lamps are turned on, the parking lamps
automatically turn on.
When the headlamps are changed to high-beam, the
fog lamps also go off. When the high-beam headlamps
are turned off, the fog lamps will come on again.
Some localities have laws that require the headlamps to
be on along with the fog lamps.
Auxiliary Roof-Mounted Lamp
If the vehicle has this feature, this button includes wiring
provisions for a dealer or a qualified service center to
install an auxiliary roof lamp.
This button is located on
the overhead console.
When the wiring is connected to an auxiliary roof
mounted lamp, pressing the bottom of the button will
activate the lamp and illuminate an indicator light at the
bottom of this button. Pressing the top of the button will
turn off the roof mounted lamp and indicator.

EPM works to prevent excessive discharge of the
battery. It does this by balancing the generator's output
and the vehicle's electrical needs. It can increase
engine idle speed to generate more power, whenever
needed. It can temporarily reduce the power demands
of some accessories.
Normally, these actions occur in steps or levels,
without being noticeable. In rare cases at the highest
levels of corrective action, this action may be noticeable
to the driver. If so, a Driver Information Center (DIC)
message might be displayed, such as BATTERY
SAVER ACTIVE, BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW, orLOW BATTERY. If this message is displayed, it is
recommended that the driver reduce the electrical
loads as much as possible. See DIC Warnings and
Messages on page 4‑61.
Battery Run-Down Protection
This feature shuts off the dome, and reading lamps
if they are left on for more than 10 minutes when
the ignition is off. This will keep the battery from
running down.
Accessory Power Outlet(s)
Accessory power outlets can be used to connect
auxiliary electrical equipment, such as a cellular
telephone.
There are two under the climate controls, one inside the
center floor console, one on the rear of the center floor
console and one accessory power outlet in the rear
cargo area on the passenger side.
To use an accessory power outlet, remove the
protective cap. When not in use, always cover the
accessory power outlet with the protective cap.
The accessory power outlets are powered, even with
the ignition off. Continuing to use accessory power
outlets while the ignition is in LOCK/OFF may cause
the vehicle's battery to run down.
Notice: If electrical devices are left plugged into
a power outlet, the battery may drain causing the
vehicle not to start or damage to the battery.
This would not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
Always unplug all electrical devices when turning
off the vehicle.

\FWD (Fast Forward):Press and hold to advance
playback quickly within a track. Sound is heard at a
reduced volume. Release to resume playing the track.
The elapsed time of the track displays.
RDM (Random): With the random setting, the tracks
can be listened to in random, rather than sequential
order.
To use random, press the softkey below the RDM tab.
Press the same softkey again to turn off random.
BAND: Press to listen to the radio while a CD is
playing.
CD/AUX (CD/Auxiliary): Press to play a CD while
listening to the radio. The CD icon and a message
showing the disc and/or track number displays when
a CD is in the player. Press again and the system
automatically searches for an auxiliary input device,
such as a portable audio player. If a portable audio
player is not connected, “No Input Device Found”
displays. DVD/CD AUX (Auxiliary):
Press this button to cycle
through DVD, CD, or Auxiliary when listening to the
radio. The DVD/CD text label and a message showing
the track or chapter number displays when a disc is in
either slot. Press this button again and the system
automatically searches for an auxiliary input device,
such as a portable audio player. If a portable audio
player is not connected, “No Aux Input Device”displays.
If a disc is in both the DVD slot and the CD slot the
DVD/CD AUX button cycles between the two sources
and does not indicate “No Aux Input Device”. If a front
auxiliary device is connected, the DVD/CD AUX button
cycles through all available options, such as: DVD slot,
CD slot, Front Auxiliary, and Rear Auxiliary (if available).

If a disc is inserted into top DVD slot, the rear seat
operator can turn on the video screen and use the
remote control to navigate the CD (tracks only) through
the remote control.

Radios with CD and DVD Audio Output
Only one audio source can be heard through the
speakers at a time. An audio source is defined as
DVD slot, CD slot, XM, FM/AM, Front Auxiliary Jack,
or Rear Auxiliary Jack.
Press the
Obutton to turn the radio on. The radio can
be heard through all of the vehicle speakers.
Front seat passengers can listen to the radio (AM, FM,
or XM) by pressing the BAND button or the DVD/
CD AUX button to select CD slot, DVD slot, front,
or rear auxiliary input (if available).
If a playback device is plugged into the radio’s front
auxiliary input jack or the rear auxiliary jack, the front
seat passengers are able to listen to playback from this
source through the vehicle speakers. See “Using the
Auxiliary Input Jack(s)” later in this section, or“Audio/
Video (A/V) Jacks” under,Rear Seat Entertainment
(RSE) System
on page 4‑125for more information.
In some vehicles, depending on audio options, the rear
speakers can be muted when the RSA power is turned
on. See Rear Seat Audio (RSA)

Playing an MP3 CD-R or CD-RW Disc
Radios with a Single CD player have the capability
of playing an MP3 CD-R or CD-RW disc. For more

Playing an MP3/WMA CD-R or
CD-RW Disc
Radios with a CD and DVD player have the capability of
playing an MP3/WMA CD-R or CD-RW disc. For more

CD Messages
CHECK DISC:Radios with a Single CD player or
radios with a Six-Disc player displays CHECK DISC
and/or ejects the CD if an error occurs.
Radios with a CD and DVD player could display other
messages when an error occurs:
Optical Error: The disc was inserted upside down.
Disk Read Error: A disc was inserted with an invalid or
unknown format.
