•after 25 seconds of illumination.
The dome lamp control (if equipped) mustnotbe set to the off position
for the illuminated entry system to operate.
The lights will not turn off if:
•they have been turned on with the dimmer control, or
•any door is open.
The battery saver will shut off the interior lamps 10 minutes after the
last door is closed, even if the dimmer control is on.
SECURICODE™ KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
You can use the keyless entry
keypad to:
•lock all vehicle doors.
•unlock only the driver’s door.
•unlock all vehicle doors.
•program/erase the customer keycode.
•enable/disable the autolocking feature.
The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5–digit entry code; this
code is located on the owner’s wallet card in the glove box, is marked on
the computer module, and is available from your authorized dealer. You
can also create your own 5–digit personal entry code.
When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the
controls to ensure a good activation.
Anti-scan feature
The keyless entry keypad is equipped with an anti-theft function called
“antiscan.” The antiscan feature provides a one-minute lockout feature,
where the user is unable to enter the vehicle using the keypad; this
lockout occurs when a valid entry code has not been entered by the user
within seven attempts (35 consecutive button presses). During the
lockout, the keypad will flash and pressing the controls on the keypad
will be ignored, except for pressing the 7•8 and the 9•0 controls
simultaneously, which will still lock the vehicle.
The anti-scan feature will be turned off after:
•one minute, when the anti-scan feature times out.
•one minute of keypad inactivity.

For maximum vehicle performance, keep the following information in
mind when adding accessories or equipment to your vehicle:
•When adding accessories, equipment, passengers and luggage to your
vehicle, do not exceed the total weight capacity of the vehicle or of
the front or rear axle (GVWR or GAWR as indicated on the Safety
Compliance Certification label). Consult your authorized dealer for
specific weight information.
•The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Canadian Radio
Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulate the use of mobile
communications systems — such as two-way radios, telephones and
theft alarms - that are equipped with radio transmitters. Any such
equipment installed in your vehicle should comply with FCC or CRTC
regulations and should be installed only by a qualified service
technician.
•Mobile communications systems may harm the operation of your
vehicle, particularly if they are not properly designed for automotive
use.
•To avoid interference with other vehicle functions, such as anti-lock
braking systems, amateur radio users who install radios and antennas
onto their vehicle should not locate the Amateur Radio Antennas in
the area of the driver’s side hood.
•Electrical or electronic accessories or components that are added to
the vehicle by the authorized dealer or the owner may adversely affect
battery performance and durability.
