Programming
 Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "CRUISE"position: the cruise control mode is selected but is not switched on (PAUSE).  Set the programmed speed by
accelerating to the required speed, then press button 2 or 3 (e.g.: 70 mph (110 km/h)).
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2 and 3 : - by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press, - by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press, - in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press.  Switch off the cruise control by pressing button 4 : the display confirms that it has been switched off (PAUSE).
 Switch the cruise control back on by pressing button 4 again.
Exceeding the programmed speed Intentional or unintentional exceeding of the programmed speed results in flashing of this speed on the display. Return to the programmed speed, by means of intent ional or unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of the speed.
Leaving cruise control mode
 Turn thumb wheel 1 to the "0" position: the cruise control mode is deselected. The display returns to the distance recor der.
Operating fault
In the event of a cruise control malfunction, the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer.
When the cruise control is switched on, be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speed changing buttons: this may result in a very rapid change in the speed of your vehicle. Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed. To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals: - ensure that the mat is positioned correctly, - never fit one mat on top of another.

Checking levels
Check all of these levels regularly and top them up if necessary, unless other wise indicated. If a level drops significantly, have the corresponding system checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Oil level
Engine oil change
Refer to the Maintenance and Warranty Guide for details of the inter val for this operation.
In order to maintain the reliability of the engine and emission control system, the use of additives in the engine oil is prohibited.
Oil grade
The oil must be suitable for your engine and conform to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Brake fluid level
Changing the fl uid
Refer to the Maintenance and Warranty Guide for details of the inter val for this operation.
Fluid specifi cation
The brake fluid must conform to the manufacturer's recommendations and meet the DOT4 standard.
The brake fluid level should be close to the "MA X" mark. If it is not, check the brake pad wear.
The reading will only be correct if the vehicle is on level ground and the engine has been off for more than 15 minutes. The check is carried out either when the ignition is switched on using the oil level indicator on the instrument panel, or using the dipstick.

The fusebox is loacted inside the glove box.

 Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B .  Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal (-) of the flat battery A .
 Star t the slave vehicle.  Operate the star ter of the broken down
vehicle and let the engine run.  Wait until the engine returns to idle and disconnect the cables.
Charging the battery using
a battery charger
Batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acid and lead. They must be disposed of in accordance with regulations and must not, in any circumstances, be discarded with household waste. Take used remote control batteries and vehicle batteries to a special collection point.
 Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
 Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of the charger.  Reconnect star ting with the negative terminal (-).  Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove them
and clean them.
The Stop & Star t battery does not have to be disconnected for charging. It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is to be left unused for more than one month.

Load reduction mode System which manages the use of cer tain functions according to the level of charge remaining in the battery. When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen... The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as conditions permit.
Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting the battery. Close the windows and the doors before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute before star ting to permit initialisation of the electronic systems. However, if minor problems persist following this operation, contact a CITROËN dealer. Referring to the corresponding section,
you should yourself reinitialise: - the remote control key, - the GPS satellite navigation system.
