Fuel tank
Capacity of the tank: approximately 72 litres (or 55 litres according to version).
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to be registered by the fuel gauge. Opening the filler cap may result in an inrush of air. This vacuum is entirely normal and results from the sealing of the fuel system. Take care to select the pump that delivers
the correct fuel type for your vehicle's engine (reminder on a label on the inside of the filler flap).
Open the filler cap by turning it a 1/4 turn to the left. Remove the filler cap and hang it on its
carrier (on the filler flap).
Opening
If you have put in the wrong fuel for your vehicle, you must have have
the tank drained and refilled with the correct fuel before you star t the engine.
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the
system in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.
- Press the switch. This control remains active for a few minutes after switching off the ignition. If necessary, switch the ignition on again to reactivate it.
Refuelling
Introduce the nozzle and push it in fully (pushing on the the metal non-return valve A ).A Fill the tank. Do not continue past the third cut-off of the nozzle, as this may cause malfunctions. Refit the filler cap turning it a 1/4 turn to the right. Push the filler flap to close it.
Your vehicle is fitted with a catalytic conver ter, a device which helps to reduce the level of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases. For petrol engines, you must use use of unleaded fuel only. The filler neck is narrower, admitting petrol nozzles only.

Mirrors
Each fitted with an adjustable mirror glass providing the lateral rear ward vision necessary for over taking or parking. They can also be folded for parking in confined spaces.
Door mirrors
If the mirrors are folded using control A , they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked. Pull again on control A .
The folding and unfolding of the door mirrors using the remote control can be
deactivated by a PEUGEOT dealer. Fold the mirrors when putting your vehicle through an automatic car wash. The objects obser ved are, in reality, closer than they appear. Take this into account in order to correctly judge the distance of vehicles approaching from behind.
Demisting - Defrosting
Demisting-defrosting of the door mirrors operates with the engine running, by switching on the heated rear screen (refer to the "Rear
screen demist-defrost" page).
Adjustment
Move control A to the right or to the left to select the corresponding mirror. Move control B in all four directions to adjust. Return control A to the central position.
Folding
- Automatic: lock the vehicle using the remote control or the key. - Manual: with the ignition on, pull control Arear wards.

Anti-theft protection
The keys contain an electronic chip which has a secret code. When the ignition is switched on, this code must be recognised in order for star ting to be possible. This electronic engine immobiliser locks the engine management system a few minutes after the ignition is switched off and prevents star ting of the engine by anyone who does not have the key.
In the event of a malfunction, you are informed by a message in the instrument panel screen. In this case, your vehicle does not star t; contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as possible.
Emergency starting withthe electronic key
When the electronic key is in the defined zone and your vehicle does not star t after pressing the "START/STOP" button: Open the housing below the "START/STOP" button. Inser t the electronic key in the location A . Press the "START/STOP" button.
Once the engine has star ted, you can remove the electronic key and close the housing.
Emergency switch-off usingthe electronic key
In the event of an emergency only, the engine can be switched of without conditions. To do this, press and hold the "START/STOP" button for about 3 seconds. In this case the steering column locks as soon as the vehicle stops. if the electronic key is no longer in the defined zone when you request switching off the
engine, a message appears in the instrument panel. Press and hold the "START/STOP" button for about 3 seconds if you want to force switching off the engine (note that restarting will not be possible without the key).

Stop & Start
The Stop & Star t system puts the engine temporarily into standby - STOP mode - during stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic jams, or other...). The engine restar ts automatically - START mode - as soon as y ou want to move off. The restar t takes place instantly, quickly and silently. Per fect for urban use, the Stop & Star t system reduce s fuel consumption and exhaust emissions as well as the noise level when stationary.
Operation
Going into engine STOP mode
The "ECO" warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel and the engine goes into standby:
- with the electronic gear control gearbox, at speeds below 4 mph (6 km/h), press the brake pedal or put the selector lever in position N .
If your vehicle is fitted with the system, a time counter calculates the sum of the periods in STOP mode during a journey. It rests itself to zero every time the ignition is switched on with the key.
Never refuel with the engine in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.
For your comfor t, during parking maoeuvres, STOP mode is not available for a few seconds after coming out of reverse gear. STOP mode does not affect the functionality of the vehicle, such as for example, braking, power steering...
Special cases: STOP mode not available
STOP mode is not invoked when:
- the driver's door is open, - the driver's seat belt is not fastened, - the vehicle has not exceeded 6 mph (10 km/h) since the last engine star t using the key, - the electric parking brake is applied or being applied, - the engine is needed to maintain a comfor table temperature in the passenger compar tment, - demisting is active,
- some special conditions (battery charge, engine temperature, braking assistance, ambient temperature...) where the engine is needed to assure control of a system. In this case, the "ECO" warning lamp flashes for a few seconds then goes off. This operation is per fectly normal.

Driving
The system is reactivated automatically at every new star t using the key.
Reactivation
Press the "ECO OFF" switch again. The system is active again; this is confirmed by the switch warning lamp going off and a message in the screen.
Operating fault
In the event of a fault with the system, the "ECO OFF" switch warning lamp flashes then comes on continuously. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. In the event of a fault in STOP mode, the
vehicle may stall. It is then necessary to switch off the ignition and star t the engine again using the key.
Before doing anything under the bonnet, deactivate the Stop & Star t system to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of START mode.
This system requires a battery with a special specification and technology (reference numbers available from PEUGEOT dealers). Fitting a battery not listed by PEUGEOT introduces the risk of malfunction of the system.
Maintenance
The Stop & Star t system makes use of
advanced technology. For any work on the system go to a qualified workshop with the skills and equipment required, which a PEUGEOT dealer is able to provide.
