06 USING THE TELEPHONE
OPTIONS DURING A CALL *
D u r i n g a c a l l , p r e s s t h e MODE button several times to select display of the telephone screen, then press " OK " to o p e n t h e c o n t e x t u a l m e n u .
Select " Private mode " a n d c o n fi r m t o take the call on the handset.
Or select " Hands-free mode " and c o n fi r m t o t a k e t h e c a l l v i a t h e v e h i c l e ' s speakers.
Select " Put call on hold " a n d c o n fi r m t o put the current call on hold.
Or select " Resume the call " and c o n fi r m t o r e s u m e t h e c a l l o n h o l d .
Select " DTMF ring tones " to use the n u m e r i c a l k e y p a d , s o a s t o n a v i g a t e t h r o u g h t h e m e n u o f a n i n t e r a c t i v e v o c a l server.
Select " Hang up " to end the call.

DIRECTORY/SYNCHRONIZING CONTACTS
Press ADDR BOOK twice then select " New contact " to enter a new contact.
Press ADDR BOOK twice then select " C o n fi g u r a t i o n " a n d c o n fi r m .
Select " Delete all contacts " to delete the contacts saved in the system.
Select " Import all the entries " to import all the contacts in the telephone and save them in the system.
Select " Synchronization options " and c o n fi r m :
- No synchronization: only the contacts saved in the system ( a l w a y s p r e s e n t ) .
- Display telephone contacts: only the contacts saved in the telephone.
- D i s p l a y S I M c a r d c o n t a c t s : o n l y t h e c o n t a c t s s a v e d o n t h e S I M c a r d .
- Display all phone contacts: c o n t a c t s o n t h e S I M c a r d a n d i n t h e telephone.
Press ADDR BOOK twice then select " Contact mem. status " to see the number of contacts saved in the system or imported, and the free memory.

Select " Delete " to delete a contact saved in the system.

Insert the CD in the player, insert the USB memory stick in the USB player or connect the USB p e r i p h e r a l t o t h e U S B p o r t u s i n g a s u i t a b l e c a b l e ( n o t s u p p l i e d ) .
T h e s y s t e m b u i l d s p l a y l i s t s ( i n t e m p o r a r y m e m o r y ) , an operation which can take from a few seconds to several minutes.
R e d u c e t h e n u m b e r o f n o n - m u s i c fi l e s a n d t h e n u m b e r o f f o l d e r s t o r e d u c e t h e w a i t i n g t i m e .
T h e p l a y l i s t s a r e u p d a t e d e v e r y t i m e t h e i g n i t i o n i s switched off or connection of a USB memory stick.
Play starts automatically after a period which depends on the capacity of the USB memory stick.
