Stop & Start
Going into engine STOP mode The "ECO" warning lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and
the engine goes into standby:
- with a manual gearbox; at speeds
b e l o w 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , p u t t h e
gear lever into neutral, then release
the clutch pedal.
In certain circumstances, STOP may
not be available; the "ECO" warning
l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c o n d s , t h e n
goes off.
113 Going into engine START mode
The "ECO" warning lamp goes
off and the engine restarts:
- with a manual gearbox; depress
the clutch pedal.
In certain circumstances, START mode
may be invoked automatically; the
"ECO" w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w
seconds, then goes off.
114 Deactivation/Reactivation
You can deactivate the system at any
time by pressing the
"ECO OFF" button;
the warning lamp in the button comes
on.
The system is reactivated auto-
matically every time the engine
is started with with the key.
Before refuelling or doing any-
thing under the bonnet, you
must switch off the ignition with
the key.

Indicator and warning lamps
Visual indicators informing the driver that a system is in operat ion (operation or
deactivation indicator lamps) or of the occurrence of a fault (wa rning lamp).
When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few seconds when the vehi cle's ignition is
switched on.
When the engine is started, these same warning lamps should switch off.
If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the information on the warning lamp concerned.
Operation indicator lamps

system has come into operation. The warning lamps may come
o n c o n t i n u o u s l y ( fi x e d ) o r fl a s h .
Certain warning lamps may
come on in two different modes.
Only by relating the type of ligh-
ting to the operating status of
the vehicle can it be ascertained
whether the situation is normal
or whether a fault has occurred.
Associated warnings
The switching on of certain warning lamps may be accompanied b y an audible
signal and a message on the multifunction screen.

Left-hand
direction

Right-hand
direction

The lighting stalk is pushed up.

"Sidelamps" position.
Hazard
warning lamps fl a s h i n g w i t h
audible signal. The hazard warning lamps
switch, located on the
dashboard, has been operated. The left-hand and right-hand direction indicators
a n d t h e i r a s s o c i a t e d i n d i c a t o r l a m p s fl a s h
simultaneously.
