Stop & Start
Going into engine STOP mode The "ECO" warning lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and
the engine goes into standby:
- with a manual gearbox; at speeds
b e l o w 1 2 m p h ( 2 0 k m / h ) , p u t t h e
gear lever into neutral, then release
the clutch pedal.
In certain circumstances, STOP may
not be available; the "ECO" warning
l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w s e c o n d s , t h e n
goes off.
113 Going into engine START mode
The "ECO" warning lamp goes
off and the engine restarts:
- with a manual gearbox; depress
the clutch pedal.
In certain circumstances, START mode
may be invoked automatically; the
"ECO" w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r a f e w
seconds, then goes off.
114 Deactivation/Reactivation
You can deactivate the system at any
time by pressing the
"ECO OFF" button;
the warning lamp in the button comes
on.
The system is reactivated auto-
matically every time the engine
is started with with the key.
Before refuelling or doing any-
thing under the bonnet, you
must switch off the ignition with
the key.

Indicator and warning lamps
Visual indicators informing the driver that a system is in operat ion (operation or
deactivation indicator lamps) or of the occurrence of a fault (wa rning lamp).
When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few seconds when the vehi cle's ignition is
switched on.
When the engine is started, these same warning lamps should switch off.
If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the information on the warning lamp concerned.
Operation indicator lamps
I f o n e o f t h e f o l l o w i n g i n d i c a t o r l a m p s c o m e s o n , t h i s c o n fi r m s t h a t t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g
system has come into operation. The warning lamps may come
o n c o n t i n u o u s l y ( fi x e d ) o r fl a s h .
Certain warning lamps may
come on in two different modes.
Only by relating the type of ligh-
ting to the operating status of
the vehicle can it be ascertained
whether the situation is normal
or whether a fault has occurred.
Associated warnings
The switching on of certain warning lamps may be accompanied b y an audible
signal and a message on the multifunction screen.

Left-hand
direction

dashboard, has been operated. The left-hand and right-hand direction indicators

simultaneously.

Stop & Start fi x e d .
The Stop & Start system
has put the engine in STOP
mode at a vehicle stop
( t r a f fi c l i g h t s , t r a f fi c j a m ,
or other...). The warning lamp goes off and the engine
restarts automatically in START mode, as soon
as you want to move off.

Passenger's
airbag
system fi x e d . The control switch, located
in the glove box, is in
the "
ON " position.
The passenger's front
airbag is activated.
In this case, do not install a
rear-facing child seat. Turn the control switch to the "
OFF " position
to deactivate the front passenger's airbag.
In this case you can install a rear-facing child
seat.
Engine
coolant
temperature fi x e d b l u e . On starting the engine, it
indicates that the engine
is cold. After a few minutes driving, it swiches off to
indicate that the engine temperature is normal.
In order to protect your engine, avoid driving too
hard until the warning lamp has switched off.

Average speed

This is the average speed calcu-

This value may vary following a
change in the style of driving or

cant change in the current fuel
consumption.
If dashes are displayed continu-
ously while driving in place of the
digits, contact a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p . This function is only displayed
from 20 mph (30 km/h).
When the range falls below 20 miles
( 3 0 k m ) , d a s h e s a r e d i s p l a y e d . A f t e r fi l -
ling with at least 5 litres of fuel, the range
is recalculated and is displayed when it
exceeds 60 miles (100 km). Distance remaining to
destination
(miles or km)
This is the distance remaining
t o b e t r a v e l l e d t o t h e fi n a l d e s t i n a t i o n . I t
can be entered by the user.
If the distance is not entered, dashes
are displayed in place of the digits.
Stop & Start time counter
(minutes/seconds or hours/minutes)

Start, a time counter calculates the
time spent in STOP mode during a journey.
It resets to zero every time the ignition
is switched on with the key.

Once this menu has been selected,
you can change the language used
by the display (Deutsch, English,
Espanol, Français, Italiano, Nederlands,
Portugues, Portugues-Brasil, Türkçe * ). "Telephone" Menu
F o r s a f e t y r e a s o n s , c o n fi g u r a t i o n
by the driver of the multifunction
screen must only be done when
stationary.
D i s p l a y c o n fi g u r a t i o n
Once this menu has been selected, you
can gain access to the following settings:
- brightness-video setting,
- date and time setting,
- selection of units.
Once the fuel consumption units
have been changed to mpg, the
information in the screen rela-
ting to speed and distance also
changes to mph and miles re-
spectively. With Audio system on, once this menu
i s s e l e c t e d y o u c a n c o n fi g u r e y o u r
Bluetooth hands-free system (pairing),
view the various telephone directories
(list of calls, services...) and manage
your calls (call, hang up, second call,
secret mode...).

WINDOW CONTROLS
System which opens or closes a window
m a n u a l l y o r a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I t i s fi t t e d w i t h
a system which provides protection if an
obstacle is detected on the one-touch
models and a deactivation system to
prevent misuse of the rear switches on
all models.
1. Driver's electric window switch.

Press or pull the switch.
The window stops as soon
as the switch is released.
The electric window switches

tion is switched off or until a front
door is opened.
One-touch electric windows There are two methods
of operation:
- manual mode
Press or pull the switch gently.
The window stops as soon as the
switch is released.
- automatic mode
Press or pull the switch fully.
The window opens or closes
completely when the switch is
released.
Pressing the switch again stops
the movement of the window. The electric window switches
r e m a i n o p e r a t i o n a l f o r a p p r o x i -
mately 45 seconds after the igni-
tion is switched off or until a front
door is opened.
Safety anti-pinch
The one-touch front electric windows are
fi t t e d w i t h a s a f e t y a n t i - p i n c h f u n c t i o n .
When the window rises and meets an
obstacle, it stops and partially lowers
again.
In the event of unwanted opening
o f t h e w i n d o w o n c l o s i n g ( f o r e x -
ample in the presence of frost):
press the switch until it opens
completely,
then pull it immediately until
it closes,
continue to hold the switch
f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y o n e s e c o n d
after the window has closed.
The safety anti-pinch func-
tion is not active during these
operations.
