Starting - stopping the vehicle
- Position 1: LOCK
The steering is locked.
- Position 2: ACCThe ancillaries (radio, 12 V socket...)can be used.
- Position 3: ONIgnition on.
- Position 4: START"Ready" lamp on.
Motor ready to drive the vehicle.
Ignition switch
) Inser t the key in the ignition switch.

Turn the key to position 4 (START).

)Immobilise the vehicle.
)Place the drive selector in position P.P)Turn the key to position 1 (LOCK).)Remove the key from the ignition switch.)Hold it in this position for a few seconds until the "READY" lamp comes on accompanied by an
audible signal.
) Release the key.
The key returns automaticallyto position 3 (ON).
Key in ignition
If the key has been left in the ignition, an
audible signal is heard on opening the driver's door.

Do not attach any heavy objects to the key as this could weigh down on it whenin the ignition switch and cause a fault.

If you use the ancillaries for a prolonged period (with the key in the ACCposition), you risk discharging theancillaries battery. Star ting your vehiclewill then no longer be possible.Be aware .

Do not charge the battery without first disconecting the terminals and removing it from the vehicle.Do not disconnect the terminals whenthe "Ready" lamp is on, nor when thevehicle is being charged.
Before disconnecting
You must wait 2 minutes after switchingoff the ignition before disconnecting the battery.


Batteries contain harmful substancessuch as sulphuric acid and lead. Theymust be disposed of in line with legal requirements and never put out withhousehold waste. Ta k e used batteries to an authorisedcollection point.
)Disconnect the negative (-) terminal.)Lift the protective cover on the (+)terminal 2.)Slacken nut 3.)Disconnect the positive (+) terminal. )Remove the battery.)Charge the battery following the
instructions given by the manufacturer of
the battery charger. )Reconnect the battery starting with
the (+) cable.
After reconnecting
After reconnecting the battery, switchon the ignition and wait 1 minute
before star ting, to allow initialisation of the electronic systems. However, if minor problems persist after doingthis, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.Remember to enter the radio code yourself, referring to the relevant section.

Ensure that the battery posts and cable terminals are clean. If they are coveredwith sulphates (whitish or greenish deposit), disconnect and clean them.

Installation of radiocommunicationtransmitters
Before installing any after-market radio communication transmitter, you cancontact a CITROËN dealer for thespecification of transmitters which canbe fitted (frequency, maximum power,aerial position, specific installation requirements), in line with the VehicleElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive(2004/104/EC).



Depending on the legislation in forcein the country, it may be compulsory to have a high visibility safety vest, warning triangle and spare bulbs andfuses available in the vehicle.

When the motor is switched off and to

After a battery disconnection, a code has to be enteredfor operation of the radio.

A maximum of fi ve attempts are possible. For the last
two attempts, a 15 minutes wait is imposed between each attempt.

Press SRC/TEL several times insuccession and select the FM1 or FM2radio band.
Press a button to listen to the corresponding preset station.
Select the desired radio station and confi rm by pressing "OK".

received in alphabetical order.
The exterior environment
(hills, buildings, tunnel, car park, below ground...) may prevent reception, even in RDS station tracking mode. Thisphenomenon is normal in the propagation of radio waves and is in no way indicative of a fault with the audio system.

A long press on LIST
builds or updates
the list of stations; audio reception is cut
momentarily.

RDS, if displayed, enables you to continue listening to the same station by automatic retuning to alternative frequencies. However,
in certain conditions, coverage of an RDS station may not be assured throughout the country as radio stations do not cover
100 % of the territory. This explains the loss of reception of thestation during a journey.
