Inside rear view mirror
Glare from the headlights of vehicles behind can be reduced by
using the following functions.
Manual anti-glare inside rear view mirrorNormal position
Anti-glare position
Auto anti-glare inside rear view mirror
In auto mode, sensors are used to detect the headlights of vehi-
cles behind and automatically reduces the reflected light.
Press the button for longer
than 3 seconds to turn auto
mode on/off.
The indicator comes on when
auto mode is turned on.
Vehicles with smart key sys-
tem: The anti-glare mirror is
automatically set to auto when-
ever the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch is turned to
IGNITION ON mode.
Vehicles without smart key
system: The anti-glare mirror is
automatically set to auto when-
ever the engine switch is
turned to the “ON” position.

■To prevent sensor error (vehicles with auto anti-glare inside rear view
mirror)
CAUTION
■ While driving
Do not adjust the position of the mirror.
Doing so may lead to mishandling of the vehicle and an accident, or result-
ing in death or serious injury.
To ensure correct functioning of the sen-
sors, do not touch or cover the sensors.

Outside rear view mirrors
■The outside rear view mirr ors can be operated when
Vehicles with smart key system
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in the ACCESSORY or IGNITION
ON mode.
Vehicles without smart key system
The engine switch is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
■ When the mirrors are fogged up (veh icles with outside rear view mirror
defoggers)
Turn on the mirror heaters to defog the mirrors. (P. 200)
Mirror angle can be adju sted using the switch.
Select a mirror to adjust.

■Auto anti-glare function (vehicles with auto anti-glare inside rear view
mirror)
When the anti-glare inside rear view mirror is set to auto mode, the outside
rear view mirrors will activate in conjunction with the anti-glare inside rear
view mirror to reduce reflected light. ( P. 65)
■ One touch power adjustment
You can store and recall power adjustments such as the driver’s seat and
the outside rear view mirrors. ( P. 51)
CAUTION
■While driving
Observe the following precautions.
Failing to do so may result in losing control of the vehicle and cause an acci-
dent, resulting in death or serious injury.
● Do not adjust the mirrors.
● Before driving, be sure to make an adjustment of the driver and passenger
side mirrors properly.
● Do not drive with the mirrors folded.
■ When the mirror heaters are operating (if equipped)
Do not touch the mirror surface as the mirror surface becomes hot.
NOTICE
■If ice should jam the mirror
Do not operate the control or scrape the mirror face. Use a spray de-icer to
free the mirror.

■The power windows can be operated when
Vehicles with smart key system
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in IGNITION ON mode. Vehicles without smart key system
The engine switch is in the “ON” position.
■ Operating the power windows after turning the engine off (front win-
dows only)
Vehicles with smart key system
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even
after the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned to ACCESSORY mode or
turned OFF. They cannot, however, be operated once the driver’s or front
passenger’s door is opened. Vehicles without smart key system
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even
after the engine switch is turned to the “ACC” or “LOCK” position. They can-
not, however, be operated once the driver’s or front passenger’s door is
opened.
■ Jam protection function (front windows only)
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame,
window travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
■ When the battery is disconnected
The power windows must be initialized in order to ensure proper operation.
(Perform for each window with the switch for each seat.)
Open the window halfway.
Fully close the window by pulling the switch up and continue hold-
ing the switch for 1 second.
The indicator on the switch changes from a flashing pattern to being on
when initial settings are complete.

When closing the windows
Observe the following precautions.
Failing to do so may result in death or serious injury.
● Check to make sure that all passengers do not have any part of their body
in a position where it could be caught when a window is being operated.
● Do not allow children to operate the power windows.
Closing a power window on someone can cause death or serious injury.
■ Jam protection function (front windows only)
● Never try jamming any part of your body to activate the jam protection
function intentionally.
● The jam protection function may not work if something gets caught just
before the window fully closes.

Use the overhead switches to open, close, and tilt the moon roof up
and down.
