OPERATION WARNING LIGHTS Anti-lock braking system
(ABS) warning light
This should go out after a
few seconds.
If the warning light remains on
o r c o m e s o n a b o v e 8 m p h ( 1 2 k m / h ) ,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message on the multifunction
display, this indicates a malfunction of
the ABS.
H o w e v e r , t h e v e h i c l e r e t a i n s c o n v e n -
t i o n a l s e r v o - a s s i s t e d b r a k i n g .
It is linked with the corresponding
warning light on the instrument panel
display.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Emission control system
warning light
This should go out a few sec-
onds after the engine starts.
With the engine running, if
t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s o r c o m e s o n
permanently, this indicates a malfunc-
tion of the emission control system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible. Passenger air bag
disarmed warning light *
This should go out after a
few seconds.
The lighting of this warning light is ac-
companied by a message on the mul-
tifunction display.
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light comes on when the
ignition is switched on and remains on
throughout the duration of disarming.
I n a l l c a s e s , i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s ,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer. Low fuel level
warning light
This should go out af-
ter a few seconds.
The lighting of this
warning light is accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
It is linked with the corresponding
warning light on the instrument panel
display.
W h e n t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fi r s t c o m e s o n ,
y o u h a v e approximately 5 litres of
fuel left in the tank.
I t i s e s s e n t i a l t o fi l l t h e t a n k t o a v o i d
running out of fuel.
This warning light comes on again
each time the ignition is switched on,
u n t i l t h e t a n k i s fi l l e d w i t h a s u f fi c i e n t
quantity of fuel.
N e v e r c o n t i n u e t o d r i v e u n t i l y o u r u n
out of fuel, this could damage the emis-
sion control and injection systems.
The capacity of the fuel tank is approx-
i m a t e l y 8 0 l i t r e s .

This light should go out after
a few seconds.
If the warning light remains on, or if it
comes on when the engine is running,
it indicates:

fl u i d l e v e l w a r n i n g l i g h t o n t h e i n -
strument panel display,
- a malfunction of the electronic brake force distribution, if linked
with the STOP warning light on the
instrument panel display,
- an applied or incorrectly released h a n d b r a k e , w h e n t h e v e h i c l e i s
m o v i n g , i f l i n k e d w i t h t h e h a n d -
brake warning light on the instru-
ment panel display.

BONNET
Closing
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Check that it is locked.
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
(DIESEL)
If you should run out of fuel, it is nec-
essary to re-prime the circuit.
If the engine does not start after
15 seconds, repeat the repriming ope-
ration.
Opening
Pull the lever, located on the left
beneath the dashboard, down-
wards.
Lift the catch and raise the bonnet.
Bonnet struts open the bonnet and
keep it open.
2 litre 16V HDI engine
- fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e l i - tres of diesel,
- unclip the style cover to gain ac- cess to the repriming pump,
- unscrew the degas screw,
- squeeze and release the manual repriming pump until diesel is seen
escaping via the degas screw,
- retighten the degas screw,
- operate the starter until the engine starts.
2.7 litre 24V V6 HDI engine
- fi l l t h e f u e l t a n k w i t h a t l e a s t fi v e l i -tres of diesel,
- switch on the ignition and wait 15 seconds before operating the
starter.
