When a "rearwards-facing"
child seat is installed on the
front passenger seat , it is
essential that the passenger
airbag is deactivated. Otherwise, the
c h i l d w o u l d r i s k b e i n g s e r i o u s l y i n -
jured or killed if the airbag were to
i n fl a t e . When a "forwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the
front passenger
seat , adjust the vehicle's seat to the
intermediate longitudinal position with
the seat back upright and leave the
passenger airbag activated.
For maximum safety, please
follow these precautions:
- in accordance with European reg- ulations, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one and
a half metres tall must travel in
approved child seats suited to
their weight , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a
seat belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,
- s t a t i s t i c a l l y , t h e s a f e s t s e a t s i n
y o u r v e h i c l e f o r t h e t r a n s p o r -
tation of children are the rear
seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
and in the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends that children
should travel in the rear seats of your
vehicle:

"rearwards-facing" up to the age of 2,
-
"forwards-facing" over the age of 2.
Although one of PEUGEOT's main cri-
teria when designing your vehicle, the
safety of your children also depends
on you. "Rearwards-facing"
