Bolt covers
Alloy wheel bolts are covered by chrome
trims.
Use the yellow tool 7 to remove the
trims before slackening the bolts.

w h e e l , w h e n fi t t i n g i t , i t i s
normal to no-
tice when tightening the bolts that the
washers do not come into contact with
the rim. The spare wheel is secured by
the cone-shape of each bolt. I f y o u r w h e e l s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n a n t i - t h e f t
bolt (one per wheel), the chrome trim
must be removed using the yellow tool,
before unscrewing the bolt using the
anti-theft socket and the wheel brace.
Note: the anti-theft socket
was given to you on delivery
of your vehicle along with the
d u p l i c a t e k e y s a n d t h e c o n fi -
dential card.
Make a careful note of the code
number engraved on the head of the
anti-theft socket. This will enable you
to obtain a duplicate socket from a
PEUGEOT dealer.

Towing a vehicle with an automatic
gearbox in reverse gear is prohibited
(absence of lubrication).

You should always use a towbar.
The towing eye is inside the spare
wheel.
When being towed with all
four wheels on the ground, it
is imperative that the following
rules are obeyed:
- selector lever in position N ,
- the vehicle must be towed at a speed of less than 30 mph (50 km/h) over
a maximum distance of 30 miles
(50 km),
- do not add oil to the gearbox.
From the front:
Carefully unclip the bottom of the
cover, using a small screwdriver.
Screw in the towing eye until it
locks.
From the rear:
Carefully unclip the top of the cover
using a small screwdriver.
Screw in the towing eye until it
locks. To disconnect the battery:
pull the handle downwards and
fold back the panel to gain access
to the battery,
disconnect the green terminal (-) of
the battery.
It is advisable to disconnect
the battery if the vehicle is not
to be used for a period of more
than one month.

box, the gear lever must be in neutral.
Failure to observe this special condi-
tion may result in damage to certain
