SUN VISORS
These are arranged at the sides of the
internal rearview mirror. They may be
oriented frontally and to the side.
On certain versions, a courtesy mirror
can be applied to the back of the sun
visor.
To use the mirror, open the sliding
doorA-fig. 100(where provided).
SUNROOF
(where provided)
Sunroof is fitted with anti-crushing
safety system that detects the presence
of an obstacle during sunroof closing
stroke and that cuts in by stopping
and reversing the sunroof stroke. The
“skydome” sunroof is made of 2 glass
panels, one fixed and the other mov-
able, equipped with manually oper-
ated two-position (open/closed) sun
curtains. The sunroof can be operated
only when the ignition key is on MAR.
The opening/closing functions are
controlled by the button located near
the front light.

Press and keep pressed button B-fig.

“spoiler” position; press button
Bagain for over half a second to make
the sunroof sliding automatically to
the wide open position; press the but-
ton to stop the sunroof at an interme-
diate position.

If the switch does not work, the sun-
roof can be operated manually as fol-
lows:
❒remove the protection cap set be-
tween the two sun curtains;
❒take the Allen wrench provided
❒fit the wrench into A-fig. 102and
turn it:
– clockwise to open the sunroof
– counter-clockwise to close the
sunroof. To close
When in wide open position, press
buttonA-fig. 101for over half a sec-
ond to set the front pane to the
“spoiler” position; press the button
again to stop the sunroof at an inter-
mediate position; press button Aagain
and keep it pressed to close the sun-
roof completely.

If a cross roof rack is fitted,
the sunroof should be used
in the “spoiler” position only.
Do not open the sunroof with
snow or ice to avoid dam-
age.
Always remove the ignition
key when you get out of the
car to prevent the sunroof being op-
erated accidentally and constituting
a danger to the people left in the car.
The improper use of the sunroof can
be dangerous. Before and during its
operation ensure that any passengers
are not at risk from the moving roof
either by personal objects getting
caught in the mechanism or by be-
ing injured by it directly.

Lower the tailgate by using handleA-

press the tailgate until a lock click is
heard.
IMPORTANT If the “Key” option is
enabled, before closing the tailgate
ensure that you have the ignition key
with you, as the tailgate will be auto-

The tailgate can only be unlocked
from outside the car by using the elec-

The tailgate can be opened at any
time if car doors are unlocked.

When using the boot, do

that the objects are well arranged in
the boot so that they will not be pro-
jected forwards following sudden

OPENING THE BONNET
Proceed as follows:
❒pull lever A-fig. 111in the direc-
tion indicated by the arrow;
❒shift the lever towards the left B-

❒lift the bonnet and at the same
time release the rod C-fig. 112
from the catch D, then fit end of
the rod into the bonnet recess E.
IMPORTANT Before opening the
bonnet, check that windscreen wiper
arms are not lifted from the wind-
screen.

The bonnet must always be
perfectly closed while trav-
elling for safety reasons. Make sure
that the bonnet is perfectly closed
and that the lock is engaged. If you
discover that the bonnet is not per-
fectly closed while travelling, stop
immediately and close the bonnet in
the correct manner.

Proceed as follows:
❒hold the bonnet up with one hand
and with the other remove rod C
from seat and fit it back into its
catchD;
❒lower the bonnet to approximately
20 centimetres from the engine
compartment and let it drop.
Make sure that the bonnet is com-
pletely closed and not only fas-
tened by the safety catch by trying
to open it. If it is not perfectly
closed, open the bonnet and repeat
the procedure. Do not simply press
it.
IMPORTANT Always check that the
bonnet is closed properly to avoid its
opening while the car is travelling.ROOF BARS
