o For maximum effectiveness in case of an accident, the headrest should be adjusted so the middle of theheadrest is at the same height of the center of gravity of an occupant's head. Generally, thecenter of gravity of most people's head is similar with the height of the top of their eyes. Also, adjustthe headrest as close to your head as possible. For this reason, the use of a cushion that holds thebody away from the seatback should not be recommended.

When you return the seatback to itsupright position, always be sure it is locked into position by pulling and push-ing on the top of the seatback.

o When you return the rear seatback
to its upright position after beingfolded down, be careful not to damage the seat belt webbing or buckle. In addition, do not allowthe seat belt webbing or buckle to get caught or pinched in the rear seat.
o When you return the rear seatback to its upright position, be sure it islocked into position to attemptmove it.
o Never attempt to fold or return seat
while the vehicle is moving.!

This makes them the most important safety feature available for you and your passengers. Adequateprotection is afforded only when the belt is worn correctly. You should always fasten and adjust your seatbelts beforethe car is put in motion and encourage your passengers to do the same.
WARNING:
Seat belts are designed to bear uponthe bony structure of the body, and should be worn low across the frontof the pelvis or the pelvis, chest and shoulders, as applicable; wearing the lap section of the belt across theabdominal area must be avoided. Seat belts should be adjusted as firmly as possible, consistent withcomfort, to provide the protection for which they have been designed.

2. Route the child restraint seat strap
over the seatback. For vehicles with adjustable head- rests, route the tether strap under theheadrest and between the headrest posts, otherwise route the tether strap over the top of the seatback. OCM052213L
Use the seat belt to install the childrestraint system as illustrated. Afterinstallation of the child restraint sys- tem, rock the child seat back and forth, and side to side to ensure that it ispositively secured by the seat belt. If the child seat moves, readjust the length of the seat belt. In Australia/NZthe child restraint manufacturer's in- structions must be followed when fitting the unit to the vehicle.
