the indicator goes off. A lack of
airf low can cause the windows to f og
up. You should keep the f an on at all
times so stale air and moisture do
not build up in the interior and cause
f ogging.

controls to the maximum level. To clear the windows f aster, you can
close the dashboard corner vents
and the vents on both sides of the
instrument panel by rotating the
wheel below the vent. This will send

avoid f ogging the windows.

a clear view through all the windows

temporarily, push the MUTE button.
The indicator in the button will come
on to indicate the mute f unction is on.
Press the button again to cancel
mute.
The AUDIO CONTROL button
changes the mode. Pressing the
button repeatedly selects FM1, FM2,
AM,CD(if aCDisloaded),CD
changer (if you have the optional CD
changer), or XM1 and XM2 (if you
have the optional satellite radio
f eature).
The CHANNEL button has two
f unctions, depending on whether you
are listening to the radio, or playing a
CD.
If you are listening to the radio, use
the CHANNEL button to change
stations. Each time you press this
button, the system advances to the
next preset station on the band you are listening to. You will see the
number of the selected preset button
in the audio system display.
If youareplayingaCD,thesystem
skips to the beginning of the next
track each time you push the
CHANNEL button.
These controls work only with the
f actory-installed audio system. They
will not f unction if you install any
non-Honda system.

Use the VOLUME bar to adjust the
volume. Push to increase the
volume and to decrease it. Hold

Park the vehicle, and set the
parking brake. Pull the hood
release handle located under the
lower lef t corner of the dashboard.
The hood will pop up slightly.
Screw the fuel fill cap back on
until it clicks at least once. If you
do not properly tighten the cap,
the malf unction indicator lamp
maycomeon(seepage ).You
will also see a ‘‘CHECK FUEL
CAP’’ message on the inf ormation
display.
Push the f uel f ill door closed until
it latches.
Put your f ingers under the f ront
edge of the hood near the center.
Slide your hand to the lef t until
you f eel the hood latch handle.
Push this handle to the lef t to
release the hood. Lif t up the hood.
If the hood latch handle moves
stif f ly, or if you can open the hood
without lifting the handle, the
mechanism should be cleaned and
lubricated.

Locate the electrical connector f or
the convertible top motor.
It is under the lower corner of the
dashboard on the passenger’s side.
Disconnect the connector by
pushing the tab and pulling the
connector down.Holding each corner of the
convertible top, raise the top and
push it forward as far as it will go.
Follow steps 4 through 6 of the
closing procedure on page .
Try closing the convertible top. If
the new f use blows immediately or
the convertible top still does not
operate, you can close it manually.
Check the f use f or the convertible
top motor (see page ). If the
f use is blown, replace it with one
of thesameorlowerrating.
If the electric motor will not close
the convertible top, do the f ollowing.

numbers located in various places.
The vehicle identif ication number
(VIN) is the 17-digit number your
dealer uses to register your vehicle
f or warranty purposes. It is also
necessary f or licensing and insuring
your vehicle. The easiest place to
find the VIN is on a plate fastened to
the top of the dashboard. You can
seeitbylookingthroughthe
windshield on the driver’s side. It is
also on the certification label
attached to the driver’s doorjamb,
and is stamped on the engine
compartment bulkhead. The VIN is
also provided in bar code on the
certif ication label.
