Improper use of the power sunroof can cause serious personal
injury.
• Be careful when closing the power sunroof. Not paying atten
tion could cause you or others to be trapped and injured as the
roof closes.
• Always take the key with you when you leave the vehicle to
prevent injuries caused by the roof closing
• Never leave children or persons requiring assistance alone in
the vehicle, especially when they could access the vehicle keys. Unsupervised use of the keys can result in the engine being
started or use of vehicle systems such as the power windows, etc.
which could result in serious injury. The doors could be locked
with the remote key, delaying help in an emergency.
• The power sunroof will continue to operate until the ignition
key has been removed and one of the front doors has been
opened. •

Light Se nsor M alfu nction
In the event of a ligh t sensor mal funct ion, the driver is notified in the
instrument cluster display:

For safety reasons the low beams are turned on permanently wit h
the switch in
AUTO . However, you can continue to turn the lights on
and off using the light switch . Have the light sensor checked as soon
as possible at a dealership.

f you remove the ignition from the ignition lock while the head
l ights are s till on, a bu zzer w ill sound as long as the driver's door is
open to remind you to turn off the l ights .

when to use your lights. •

on only if the function is turned
on.

Canada models: The function cannot be turned off. It is activated

With the door contact circuit, 00 the interior lights turn on as soon
as you unlock the vehicle or open the doors. The interior lights are
also turned on when the ignition key is removed. The light goes out
about 2 minutes after the doors are closed. When the vehicle is
locked or when the ignition is turned on , the interior lights are
turned off.
When a door is open, the interior lights are turned off after about 10
minutes to prevent draining the battery .

The interior lights can be dimmed by holding the (D switch pressed
down. If the interior lights in the rear were turned on by pressing the
switch twice, the rear interior lights are also dimmed .•

- Press the control knob to activate the desired lighting
profile .
- Rotate the control knob clockwise to increase the bright

counterclockwise to reduce the
brightness.
When the vehicle is unlocked, the standard lighting turns on auto
matically and dims after approx. 2 minutes, and when the ignition is
turned on it switches off immediate ly.
A background lighting profile can be switched on manually using
the light profile switch ~
page 76, fig. 68. This wi ll turn off automat
ica lly after 30 minutes when the ignition is off. To reactivate, press
the lighting profile switch.
Lighting profiles that were selected while driving remain active
during the course of travel.
The following lighting profiles can be adjusted and

The sun visors for the driver and front passenger can be removed
from their center mountings and moved toward the door windows
G) ~ fig. 69 to protect against side glare. After you have moved the
sun visors so that they are parallel to the door windows, you can pull
out the extensions.
Between the visors for the driver and the passenger there is a
folding visor which can be used to cover the space above the rear
view mirror.

Fill the windshield washer container with a special solution avail
able at your authorized Audi deale r to remove the residue .

Mirrors
Rear view mirror
When the ignition is on, the interior mirror will darken automatically
depending on the amount of light striking the mirror (such as head
lights shining into the vehic le from the rearl. The mirror will retu rn
to the origina l state (anti -glare off) when you move the manual gear
shift/gear selector lever into
Reverse or when you turn on the inte
rior lights.

The automatic anti-g lare feature on the mirror will not operate prop
