LOW FUEL LEVEL
Filling with fuel

- O p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p .
- Insert the key then turn it to the left.
- Remove the cap and attach it to the clip located on the inside of the
fl a p .
It is usual to hear an air intake noise
when opening the cap as there is a
vacuum linked with the sealing of the
fuel circuit.
A l a b e l o n t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
indicates which type of fuel to use.
More than 5 litres of fuel must be
added in order to be registered by the
fuel gauge.
I f y o u fi l l y o u r t a n k , d o n o t c o n t i n u e
after the third cut-off of the pump
nozzle. This could result in vehicle
malfunctions.
FILLING THE FUEL TANK
I f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s , t h i s
indicates a fuel gauge malfunction.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
When the tank’s minimum
level is reached, this warning
light comes on, accompanied
by the message "Fuel level
low" on the display. When
t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t fi r s t c o m e s o n , y o u
have approximately 8 litres left,
depending on driving conditions and
the engine.
Fill up with fuel as soon as possible to
avoid running out.
Never continue to drive until you run
out of fuel as this could damage the
emission control and injection systems. The capacity of the tank is
approximately 18 gallons (
80 litres).

engines
The petrol engines are perfectly
compatible with E10 type petrol
biofuels (containing 10 % ethanol),
conforming to European standards
EN 228 and EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 %
ethanol) are reserved exclusively for
vehicles marketed for the use of this
type of fuel (BioFlex vehicles). The
quality of the ethanol must comply with
European standard EN 15376.
For Brazil only, special vehicles are
marketed to run on fuels containing up
to 100 % ethanol (type E100). W h e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p i s o p e n , a
system limits the opening of the
rear left sliding side door.
The key cannot be removed from the
c a p ’ s l o c k u n t i l t h e c a p i s r e fi t t e d o n
the tank.
