Warning lights
When the engine is running or the vehicle is being driven, the switching on of one of the following warning lights indicates the
occurrence of a fault which requires action on the part of the driver.
Any fault resulting in the switching on of a warning ligh t must be investigated further by reading the associated message on
the multifunction display.
If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Warning lights is on Cause Actions, observations
STOP fi x e d , a s s o c i a t e d w i t h
another warning light and accompanied by a message on the display. It is associated with a
punctured wheel, the
braking, the power steering,
the engine oil pressure or
the coolant temperature.
You must stop immediately where it is
safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and call a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Identify the fault by consulting the
message shown on the display, such as:
- the closing of the doors, boot or
bonnet,
- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control battery,
- the pressure of the tyres,
- the end of saturation of the particle e m i s s i o n fi l t e r ( D i e s e l ) .
For any other faults, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Service temporarily.
A minor fault which does not
h a v e a s p e c i fi c w a r n i n g l i g h t
has occurred.

parking brake fl a s h i n g . The electronic brake is not
applied automatically. You must stop immediately where it is
safe to do so.
Park on level ground, switch off the
ignition and contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

Door(s) open

A door, the boot, the lower
tailgate or the bonnet (only
with alarm) is still open. Close the access concerned. fi x e d i f t h e s p e e d i s
above 6 mph (10 km/h), accompanied by an audible signal.
Seat belt not fastened/
unfastened fi x e d t h e n fl a s h i n g
accompanied by an audible signal. The driver and/or the front
passenger has not fastened
or has unfastened his seat
belt.
One or more rear
passengers have also
unfastened their seat belt. Pull the strap then insert the tongue in
the buckle.
Air bags temporarily.
This light comes on for a few
seconds then switches off
when you turn the ignition to
"ON".
This light should switch off when the
engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
fi x e d . One of the air bag or seat
belt pretensioner systems is
faulty.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Water in diesel fi x e d . T h e d i e s e l fi l t e r c o n t a i n s

There is a risk of damage

The air conditioning system
does not contain chlorine and
does not present any danger
to the ozone layer. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING
In order for these systems to be fully effective, follow the operation and mainte-
nance rules below:
If the interior temperature remains very high after the vehicle has been
parked in the sun for a considerable time, do not hesitate t o ventilate the
passenger compartment for a few minutes.
P l a c e t h e a i r fl o w c o n t r o l a t a s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l t o p r o v i d e a n a d e q u a t e r e n e w a l
of air in the passenger compartment.
To obtain an even air distribution, take care not to obst ruct the exterior air
intake grilles located at the base of the windscreen, the n ozzles, the vents
and the air outlets, as well as the air extractor located in the boot.
Favour the intake of exterior air as prolonged use of the a ir recirculation may
cause misting of the windows and side windows.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located on the fascia; th is is used for
regulation of the automatic air conditioning system.
Operate the air conditioning system for 5 to 10 minutes, on ce or twice a
month to keep it in perfect working order.

To guarantee correct operation of the air conditioning syste m, you are also
advised to have it checked regularly.
If the system does not produce cold air, do not use it and contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
When towing the maximum load on a steep gradient in high temperatures,
switching off the air conditioning permits the recovery of engi ne power and
therefore improvement of the towing capacity.
The condensation created by the air conditioning results in a discharge of water
under the vehicle which is perfectly normal.

To remove a head restraint:
pull the head restraint fully upwards,
then, press the lug A .

System which permits central unlock-

lock or from a distance. It is also used to
locate and start the vehicle, as well as
