CITROËN recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle, with the rear seats
in the fully back position:
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the
age of 2.
TO CHILD SEATS
"Forwards-facing"
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat ,
adjust the vehicle's seat to the interme-
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
airbag activated.
"Rearwards-facing"
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
it is essential that the passenger airbag
is deactivated. Otherwise, the child
would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .

For maximum safety, please follow
these precautions:
- in accordance with European regula-
tions, all children under the age of
12 or less than one and a half me-
tres tall must travel in approved
child seats suited to their weight ,
o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a s e a t b e l t o r
ISOFIX mountings * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transportation
of children are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
a n d i n t h e r e a r .

Your vehicle is approved in conformance
with the new ISOFIX regulations .
T h e s e a t s r e p r e s e n t e d b e l o w , a r e fi t t e d
with regulation ISOFIX mountings. There are 3 rings for each seat:
- 2 rings
A , located between the back-
r e s t a n d t h e s e a t c u s h i o n , i d e n t i fi e d
by a label, - a ring
B , located in the roof, with the
TOP TETHER l o g o , f o r fi x i n g t h e t o p
tether belt.

two locks which are secured easily on
these rings A .
Some also have a top
tether
belt which
can be attached to ring B .
To attach this belt, raise the head re-
straint of the seat, then pass the buckle
b e t w e e n t h e r o d s . T h e n fi x t h e b u c k l e
on ring B , then tension the top tether
belt.
If a child is not installed in a vehicle cor-
rectly, the child's protection in the event
of a collision will be compromised.
