FAMILIARISATION
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle using the r e m o t e c o n t r o l o r t h e k e y , p r e s s t h e handle A and raise the tailgate.
Tailgate Lower tailgate
Opening
Push the handle C to the right and tilt the tailgate D gently.
The maximum authorised weight on the lower tailgate when open is 200 kg .
Spare wheel and tools
Access to the spare wheel
Remove the plastic cover E to gain a c c e s s t o t h e s p a r e w h e e l fi x i n g system.

SERVICE INDICATOR Resetting the service indicator to zero
Your CITROËN dealer carries out this
operation after each service.
If you have carried out your vehicle's
service yourself, the zero reset proce-
dure is the following:
switch off the ignition.
press the INFO button several times
in succession until the service indi-
cator is displayed.
press and hold the INFO button for
a few seconds until the s p a n n e r
fl a s h e s .
press the INFO button while the
s p a n n e r i s fl a s h i n g t o c h a n g e t h e
display "---" to "CLEAR" then the
time remaining before the next serv-
ice is due is displayed.
Service overdue
O p e r a t i o n
When the ignition is switched on, you
must press the INFO button several
times in succession until the service
indicator is displayed. The distance re-
corder display line indicates the number
of miles (kilometres) remaining and the
time elapsed line indicates the number
of months remaining before the next
service is due.
After a certain distance and a certain
time, the displaying of "---" is reinitial-
ised and the display indicates the time
remaining before the next service is
due.
System which informs the driver when
the next service is due in accordance
with the manufacturer's servicing
schedule.
The point at which the next service is
due is calculated from the last service
indicator zero reset.
It is determined by two parameters:
- the distance travelled (in miles (km)),
- the time elapsed since the last service
(in months).
The distance remaining to be travelled
may be weighted by the time factor, de-
pending on the user's driving habits.
E x a m p l e : the display indicates that
7 300 miles (kilometres) remain before
the next service is due.
The symbol "--" remains displayed
u n t i l t h e fi r s t s e r v i c e o f a n e w v e h i c l e
has been carried out.
E x a m p l e : the display indicates that the
service is overdue. This service must
be carried out by a CITROËN dealer.
Each time the ignition is switched on,
the display
"SCHEDULED SERVICE"
is displayed for a few seconds to indi-
cate that the service must be carried
out without delay.

"Tailgate open" warning
This warning light comes on on
the instrument panel display when
the tailgate is not closed correctly. LOWER TAILGATE
Opening
Push the handle C to the right and
tilt the tailgate D gently.
Closing
Raise the tailgate D , push it to close
it, then check that it is secured cor-
rectly. Before opening the tailgate, ensure
that no one is within the radius of
opening.
For reasons of safety and correct op-
eration, do not drive with the tailgate
open.
If the battery is disconnected, the
tailgate cannot be opened.
Do not climb onto the lower tailgate
and do not subject it to heavy knocks,
it may be damaged.
Always close the lower tailgate and
check that it is secured correctly be-
fore closing the main tailgate.
When closing the lower tailgate, en-
sure that no person or object is in the
proximity of the moving parts to avoid
any risk of injury or damage.
Do not open the lower tailgate when
a t o w b a r i s fi t t e d .
Maximum authorised weight on the
lower tailgate when open:
200 kg .

Intermediate longitudinal position
CITROËN recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
o f y o u r v e h i c l e :
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the age
o f 2 . When a "rearwards-facing" child
seat is installed on the
front
passenger seat , it is essential
that the passenger airbag is deacti-
v a t e d . O t h e r w i s e , the child would
risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
INSTALLING A CHILD SEAT USING A THREE POINT SEAT BELT
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat ,
adjust the vehicle's seat to the interme-
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
a i r b a g a c t i v a t e d .
