FAMILIARISATION
Cruise control
This maintains a constant vehicle speed programmed by the driver.
1. "ON/OFF" button: activation/deacti-vation of the cruise control mode.
2. "COAST SET" button: storing of a driving speed then decreasing of the cruising speed.
3. "ACC RES" button: increasing of the cruising speed and recalling of the stored speed.
4. "CANCEL" button: switching off of the cruise control.
I n o r d e r t o b e p r o g r a m m e d o r a c t i v a t e d , the vehicle speed must be higher than 25 mph (40 km/h) with at least second gear engaged.

the driver of the activation of a system

Warning light is on Cause Actions/Observations
Driver's
seat belt not fastened Fixed The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver's seat belt.
ABS Fixed This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. The vehicle retains
conventional braking without assistance but
you are advised to stop. Have it checked by a
CITROËN dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners Fixed This comes on for a few
seconds when the ignition
is turned to "ON" then
switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started.
If it does not switch off, contact a CITROËN
dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Have the system
checked by a CITROËN dealer without delay.
Dynamic
stability control system (ASC) Fixed This comes on if the
dynamic stability control
system fails. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel screen. Have the system
checked by a CITROËN dealer without delay.
Directional lighting off
(AFS OFF) Fixed
This comes on when the
mode is not active. Press the "AFS OFF" button to activate/
deactivate the mode.

4WD four wheel drive system Flashing When the "4WD" (4 wheel drive) mode is selected using the
transmission mode selector.
This mode is the default mode.
4WD LOCK four
wheel drive system Flashing When the "LOCK" (4 wheel drive) mode is selected using the
transmission mode selector.
Exterior
temperature Fixed This indicates the exterior temperature.
When the vehicle is stationary or if the speed is below 12 mp
h
(20 km/h) the temperature displayed may not correspond to the
exterior temperature.

With the ignition on, press the INFO
button on the fascia, to the left of the
instrument panel, several times in suc-
cession to display the different informa-
tion:
- the average consumption,
- the average speed,
- the current consumption. W h e n t h e r e q u i r e d i n f o r m a t i o n i s d i s -
played, press the
INFO button for more
than two seconds to reset all of the in-
formation to zero.
Automatic
If the ignition key remains in the OFF
position for more than 4 hours, the in-
formation is reset to zero automatically.

You can choose between different units
for displaying the fuel consumption. On the menus screen:
press the INFO button to select
"UNIT" .
press and hold the INFO button for
a few seconds to display the "UNIT"
screen.
press the INFO button to scroll the
units (km/L, L/100 km, mpg (US),
mpg (UK) and PREVIOUS) in suc-
cession.
press and hold the INFO button for
a f e w s e c o n d s t o c o n fi r m y o u r s e -
lection.
In this case, the distance, speed and
q u a n t i t y o f f u e l u n i t s w i l l a l s o b e c h a n g e d
in accordance with your choice of fuel
consumption unit.
If the battery is disconnected, the
parameter memory is cleared and
the default unit (km/L) is restored
automatically.

the temperature unit param-
eters symbol (thermometer).
press and hold the INFO button for

tialisation modes:
- automatic reinitialisation (choice 1) ,
- manual reinitialisation (choice 2) .
On the menus screen:

(automatic) to reinitialisation mode
2 (manual) .

MONOCHROME DISPLAY
This provides the following information:
- the time,
- t h e a u d i o e q u i p m e n t d i s p l a y s ( r e f e r t o the "Audio and Telematics" section).
Setting the time
The digital clock can be set in automatic
mode or in manual mode .
Selecting the Setting
Select the automatic mode or the
manual mode as follows:
Press button A "PWR" to switch on
the audio system.
Access the setting mode by pressing
button B "TUNE" for approximately
2 seconds.
Press button B "TUNE" several
times to scroll through the various
menus and select the CT menu
(clock time).
The order of the menus is the follow-
ing: AF/CT/REG/TP-S/PTY display
l a n g u a g e / S C V / P H O N E / F u n c t i o n s
setting mode OFF.
Automatic mode
This mode permits automatic setting of
the local time using the signal from the
RDS stations.
The symbol
"CT" appears on the display.
Manual mode
This mode permits manual setting of
t h e t i m e u s i n g t h e a u d i o e q u i p m e n t b u t -
tons.
It can also be used when the "Automat-
ic mode" displays an inaccurate time,
when the local RDS stations are broad-
casting from a different time zone.
