Indicator and warning lights
For CS50/CS50M
1. Left turn signal indicator light “c”
2. Oil level warning light “z”
3. High beam indicator light “j”
4. Right turn signal indicator light “d”
For CS50Z
1. Left turn signal indicator light “c”
2. Coolant temperature warning light “y”
3. Oil level warning light “z”
4. High beam indicator light “j”
5. Right turn signal indicator light “d”
EAU11030
Turn signal indicator lights “c” and
“d”
The corresponding indicator light flas-
hes when the turn signal switch is
pushed to the left or right.
EAU11080
High beam indicator light “j”
This indicator light comes on when
the high beam of the headlight is swit-
ched on.
EAU11180
Oil level warning light “z”
This warning light comes on when the
key is in the “h” position or when the
oil level in the 2-stroke engine oil tank
is low during operation. If the warning
light comes on during operation, stop
immediately and fill the oil tank with
Yamalube 2 or equivalent 2-stroke
engine oil of either JASO grade “FC”
or ISO grades “EG-C” or “EG-D”. The
warning light should go off after the 2-
stroke engine oil tank has been refi-
lled.
NOTE:
If the warning light does not come on
when the key is in the “h” position or
does not go off after the 2-stroke
engine oil tank has been refilled, have
a Yamaha dealer check the electrical
circuit.
ECA10010
CAUTION:
Do not operate the vehicle until you
know that the engine oil level is suf-
ficient.

WARNING
●Make sure that no foreign
material enters the final trans-
mission case.
●Make sure that no oil gets on
the tire or wheel.
7. Check the final transmission case
for oil leakage. If oil is leaking,
check for the cause.
EAUS1200
Coolant (only for liquid-
cooled models)
The coolant level should be checked
before each ride. In addition, the coo-
lant must be changed at the intervals
specified in the periodic maintenance
and lubrication chart.
EAUM2101
To check the coolant level
1. Place the vehicle on a level surfa-
ce and hold it in an upright posi-
tion.
NOTE:
●The coolant level must be chec-
ked on a cold engine since the
level varies with engine tempera-
ture.
●Make sure that the vehicle is
positioned straight up when
checking the coolant level. A
slight tilt to the side can result in
a false reading.
2. Check the coolant level through
the check window.
NOTE:
The coolant should be between the
minimum and maximum level marks.
1. Coolant level window
2. Maximum level mark
3. Minimum level mark
3. If the coolant is at or below the
minimum level mark, remove the
cowling A. (See page 6-5.)
4. Open the reservoir cap, and then
add coolant to the maximum
level mark.
Coolant reservoir capacity:
0.25 L (0.26 US qt) (0.22 Imp.qt)
Recommended final transmission
oil:
See page 8-1.
Oil quantity:
