PROG settings
To make handling easier, the car audio setincludes the PROG
system.
Itallowsyou to adjust settingswhich onlyneeds to be done once
or incidentally.

Settings
1. PROG system activation
Press the PTYkeyuntilyou hear the confirmation signal;
"PROGRAM" willbe brieflydisplayed on screen.
Next, the set switches automatically to the last selected function.
Aslong asitremainsin the PROG system a "P" willalways be

layed on the screen.
2. Selecting the various PROG system functions
Press or untilthe shortname for the function selected is
displayed on screen. For instance: "BEEP ON".

3. Modifying function setting
Brieflypress the PTY key; the "BEEP ON" indication willflash.
Press or ; the indication displayed switches over to "BEEP
OFF".
4. Activating new setting
Brieflypress the PTY key; the "BEEP OFF" indication willstop
flashing.
Once having reached thispointwe can select and set any other

Coding (anti-theft protection, blocking of functions)
The code numberfor thiscar audio system can be found on the
Radio Card.
The code may be entered by the manufacturer, the dealer or the
user.
By entering thiscode, you are protecting electronicallyany
switching on of the car audio setwhen removin
g itwithoutyour
knowledge.
In this case, after startup "SAFE" willbe displayed on screen.
Onlywhen entering the correct code the car audio setwillbe in
operation again.Should you loose or forget the code (Radio Card), onlyan official
deal
ership – with charge and by giving proof of ownership of the
set – willbe able to startup your set for you.

By pressing key "1" you enter the firstdigit, with "2" the
second,....
By brieflypressing the key for a particular number, you increase
the value by one unit. (After "9", "0" willshow up again).
By holding the number key pressed you decrease its value by
one unit.(After "0", "9" willshow up again).
Example: number 1703.
Do not press key "1" as thisnumber isalreadycorrectlyentered,
as the screen
displays "1000".
Press key "2" seven times. "1700" willbe displayed.
Do not press key "3" as thisnumber isalreadycorrect. "1700" is
displayed.
Press key "4" three times. "1703" willbe displayed.
4. Confirm the security code entered.
Brieflypress the "PTY" key. "SAFE" willbe displayed.

Waiting intervals
In order to avoid code deactivation with the test and error
procedure, we have introduced a waiting intervalof one hour after
everyfaulty try. During thisperiod we can switch the set on and off
butitwill remain silent.
During the w
aiting intervalthe setmustremain on. Untilthe
intervaltime isnot over "2 SAFE" isdisplayed on the screen. After
thistime the next trynumber willbe displayed, for instance: "2
1000".

New start up
If the car audio setisremoved from the battery, for example,
during a workshop service, and coding is active, the setwillbe
electronicallyblocked.1. Switch on the set.
"SAFE" isbrieflydisplayed, and then "1000".
2. Enter the code number (from the Radio Card
). See chapter
"Code Activation".
3. Confirm the code number by pressing the SCAN keyuntilyou
hear the confirmation signaland "SAFE" isbrieflydisplayed.
Now the audio setisin operation

Should you enter a wrong number you willstillsee "SAFE"
displayed, the audio will not sound. Startallover again. Make
sure you observe the waiting intervals between tries.

For instance, to remove the set from the car.
1. Switch the set on.
SelectPROG by pressing "PTY". PROGRAM willbe briefly
displayed and then "SAFE". Activate the setting by briefly
pressing again the "PTY" key. "1000" willflash on the screen

2. Enter the code number (from the Radio Card). See chapter
"Code activation".
3. Confirm the number by brieflypressing the "PTY" key, "CODE"
willbe displayed. The audio setisin operation.

Coding is then permanently deactivated.When you assemble it
again backinto the car itwill workimmediately. To go back to
protection you will need to enter the code again by following the
