To fold down the rear left seat or the
r e a r r i g h t s e a t , a l w a y s s t a r t w i t h t h e
seat, never with the seat back (risk of

n e c e s s a r y ,
p l a c e t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t s i n t h e l o w

C h e c k t h a t t h e s e a t b e l t s t r a p i s p o s i t i o n e d c o r r e c t l y a t t h e s i d e o f
the seat back,
r e l e a s e t h e f r o n t o f t h e s e a t c u s h -
ion 1 b y p a s s i n g y o u r h a n d s u n d e r -
neath and lifting at each end A ,
lift the front of the seat cushion 1 ,
tilt the seat cushion 1 against the
f r o n t s e a t ( s ) ,
p u l l c o n t r o l 3 forwards to unlock
the seat back 2 ,
fold down the seat back 2 ( l e f t 1 / 3
o r r i g h t 2 / 3 ) .

Transporting long objects
In exceptional circumstances , a rear
seat back can be folded without folding

Steering column air bag *
- Do not sit with your knees any nearer to the steering wheel than
necessary.
Front air bags
- Do not drive holding the steering
wheel by its spokes or resting your
hands on the centre part of the
wheel.
- Passengers must not place their feet on the fascia.
- Smoke as little as possible; deploy- ment of the air bags can cause
burns or the risk of injury from a
cigarette or pipe.
- Never remove or pierce the stee- ring wheel or hit it violently.

Front side air bags
- Only put approved covers on the
seats. These will not hamper the
deployment of the side air bags.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
- D o n o t fi x o r g l u e a n y t h i n g t o t h e seat backs. This could cause injury
to the chest or arms when the side
a i r b a g i n fl a t e s .
- Do not sit with the upper part of the body any nearer to the door than
necessary. Curtain air bags
- D o n o t fi x o r g l u e a n y t h i n g t o t h e
pillars or the roof. This could cause
injury to the head when the curtain
a i r b a g i n fl a t e s .
- Do not remove the grab handles in- stalled on the roof, they play a part
in securing the curtain air bags.
For the air bags to be fully ef-
fective, observe the following
safety rules:
- Wear a correctly adjusted seat belt.
- Sit in a normal upright position.
- Do not leave anything between the occupants and the air bags
(a child, pet, object...). This could
hamper the operation of the air
bags or injure the occupants.
- After an accident or if the vehi- cle has been stolen or broken
into, have the air bag systems
checked.
- All work on the air bag system is strictly forbidden unless it is car-
r i e d o u t b y q u a l i fi e d p e r s o n n e l o f
the PEUGEOT network.
- Even if all of the precautions men- tioned are observed, a risk of in-
jury or of slight burns to the head,
chest or arms, when an air bag is
deployed, cannot be ruled out. The
b a g i n fl a t e s a l m o s t i n s t a n t l y ( w i t h i n
a f e w m i l l i s e c o n d s ) t h e n d e fl a t e s
within the same time discharging
the hot gas via openings provided
for this purpose.
