STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
The height and depth of the steering
wheel can be adjusted to adapt the driv-
ing position to the size of the driver.
Adjustment
When stationary, pull the control to
unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering
wheel.
As a safety precaution, it is impera-
tive that these operations are carried
out while the vehicle is stationary.
In order to guarantee optimum vis-
ibility during your manoeuvres, the
mirror lightens automatically when
reverse gear is engaged.
Automatic day/night model
System which automatically and pro-
gressively changes between the day
and night uses.
In order to prevent dazzle, the interior
mirror glass darkens automatically in
relation to the intensity of the light from
the rear.
It lightens when the light (light beam of
following vehicles, sun...) decreases, so
guaranteeing optimum visibility. Switching on
Switch on the ignition and press
switch 1 .
The indicator light 2 comes on and the
mirror operates automatically.
Switching off
Press switch 1 .
The indicator light 2 switches off and
the mirror remains in its lightest state.

Putting the wheel back in place
Store the corresponding tools in the
b o x a n d c l o s e t h e c o v e r .

centre the spare wheel on it.
Position the black plastic centring
cone (on the steel or "space-saving"
type wheel only).
P a s s t h e h o o k i n t o t h e b o x c o v e r .
R a i s e t h e w h e e l / b o x a s s e m b l y
underneath the vehicle by tightening
the winch control nut using the
wheelbrace 1 .
Tighten fully and check that the
w h e e l i s h o r i z o n t a l l y fl u s h a g a i n s t
t h e fl o o r .
C l o s e t h e fl a p w i t h t h e e y e t o l o c k
the winch.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h
a sensor. The punctured wheel
must be repaired by a PEUGEOT
dealer. If you purchase a wheel of uniform
size to replace the "space-saving"
type spare wheel, the shim, locat-
ed underneath the vehicle, must
be removed. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.

This number is etched on the bodywork
near the damper support.
To gain access to it, raise the plastic
cover.
B. Chassis number on the windscreen
lower crossmember. This number is indicated on a gummed la-
bel which is visible through the windscreen.
C. Manufacturer’s plate.
This plate is riveted onto the engine
mounting.

D. Manufacturer’s label.
This number is indicated on a self-de-
s t r o y i n g l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e c e n t r e p i l l a r ,
on the right-hand side.
E. Tyre/paint label.
T h i s l a b e l i s a f fi x e d t o t h e f r o n t p i l l a r , o n
the driver’s side.
It bears the following information:
- t h e t y r e i n fl a t i o n p r e s s u r e s w i t h a n d without load,
- the wheel rim and tyre sizes,
- the brands of tyre recommended by the manufacturer,
- t h e i n fl a t i o n p r e s s u r e o f t h e s p a r e wheel,
- the paint colour reference.
