PRACTICAL INFORMATION
CHANGING A WHEEL
The tools are installed in the boot under
t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to them:
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
secure it by hooking its cord on the
hook on the rear shelf support,
r e m o v e t h e p o l y s t y r e n e s t o r a g e b o x ,
u n c l i p a n d r e m o v e t h e b o x c o n t a i n i n g
the tools. A l l o f t h e s e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c t o y o u r
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.
1. Wheelbrace.
Permits removal of the wheel trim a n d r e m o v a l o f t h e w h e e l fi x i n g
bolts.
2. Jack with integral handle.
Permits raising of the vehicle.
3. "Bolt cover" tool.
Permits removal of the bolt protectors (covers) on alloy
wheels.

6. Removable towing eye.

Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel, detach
t h e t r i m fi r s t u s i n g t h e w h e e l b r a c e 1
pulling at the valve passage hole.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e w h e e l , r e fi t t h e
trim starting by placing its notch fac-
ing the valve and press around its
edge with the palm of your hand.
4. Centring guide.
P e r m i t s t h e r e fi t t i n g o f a n a l l o y wheel on the hub.
5. Socket for the anti-theft bolts
( l o c a t e d i n t h e g l o v e b o x ) .
Permits adaptation of the wheelbrace to the special "anti-
theft" bolts.

Procedure for changing a
faulty wheel for the spare
wheel using the tools pro-
vided with the vehicle.
The tools 1 and 6 are installed in the
boot left-hand side trim.
The tools 2 to 4 a r e i n s t a l l e d i n a b o x ,
in the centre of the spare wheel, placed
underneath the vehicle.
To gain access to them:
open the boot,
o p e n t h e a c c e s s fl a p i n t h e l e f t - h a n d
side trim,
remove the wheelbrace from its
support,
refer to the paragraph "Access to
t h e s p a r e w h e e l " o n t h e n e x t p a g e
to retrieve the other tools.

Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it
d o e s n o t b l o c k t r a f fi c : t h e g r o u n d
must be level, stable and non-slip-
pery ground.
Apply the handbrake, switch off the
i g n i t i o n a n d e n g a g e fi r s t g e a r * t o
lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite the
wheel to be changed.
It is imperative that you ensure that
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle
r a i s e d u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e
stand.
Removing the wheel
List of operations
Remove the chromed bolt cover from
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
provided on the underframe,
whichever is closest to the wheel to
be changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
is in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
Raise the vehicle until there is
s u f fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l
and the ground to admit the spare
(not punctured) wheel easily.
Remove the bolts and store them in
a clean place.
Remove the wheel.

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n t r a l
cover.
When using the "space-saving"
t y p e s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d
50 mph (80 km/h).
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5 .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e a n t i -
theft socket 5 .
Lock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
