Opening
After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, with the rear screen closed,
pull on the handle A and raise the
tailgate.
Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
REAR SCREEN
Opening
After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, with the boot closed, press
the control B and raise the rear
screen using the base C of the wiper
arm. Closing
Lower the rear screen guiding it with
the wiper arm until it is closed.
If the rear screen is not closed correctly:
- when the engine is running,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction display
for a few seconds,

In this position, the courtesy
light comes on gradually:
Map reading lights
With the ignition on, press the
corresponding switch.
In permanent lighting mode, differ-
ent lighting times are available:
- w i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o f f , a p p r o x i m a t e l y ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s ,
-
with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting. When the front courtesy light is in
the "permanent lighting" position,
the rear courtesy light will also
come on, unless it is in the "perma-
nently off" position.
To switch off the rear courtesy light,
place it in the "permanently off" po-
sition.
Rear side reading lights
W i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o n , t h e fi r s t p r e s s o f
the corresponding switch switches
on the reading light concerned in
permanent lighting mode.
Following a second press, it comes on: - when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is pressed, in order to
locate your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
Take care not to place anything in
contact with the courtesy lights.

AMBIENT LIGHTING
The dimmed passenger compartment
lighting improves visibility in the vehicle
when the light is poor. Different lighting times are available:
- w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s o f f , a p p r o x i -mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s ,
- when the engine is running, no limit.
This comes on automatically when the
boot is opened and switches off auto-
matically when the boot is closed.
INTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING
The remote switching on of the passen-
ger compartment lighting makes your
approach to the vehicle easier in poor
light when in automatic switching on of
the lights mode.
BOOT LIGHTING

CHILD SAFETY
This system is independent and in
no circumstances does it take the
place of the central locking control.
Check the status of the child lock
each time you switch on the ignition.
Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehicle,
even for a short time.
In the event of a serious impact,
the electric child lock is deactivated
a u t o m a t i c a l l y t o p e r m i t t h e e x i t o f
the rear passengers.
MANUAL CHILD LOCK
Mechanical system to prevent opening of
the rear door using its interior control.
The control is located on the edge of
each rear door.
Turn the red control one quarter of
a turn to the right using the ignition
key.
ELECTRIC CHILD LOCK
Remote control system to prevent open-
ing of the rear doors using their interior
controls and use of the rear electric win-
dows * .
The control is located:
- either on the fascia, driver's side, on versions without rear electric
windows,
- or on the driver's door, with the electric window controls, on versions
fi t t e d w i t h r e a r e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s .
Press button A .
The indicator light on button A comes
on, accompanied by a message on the
multifunction display.
This indicator light remains on until the
child lock is deactivated.
Locking
Unlocking
Turn the red control one quarter of
a turn to the left using the ignition
key. Activation

Press button A again.
The indicator light on button A switches
off, accompanied by a message on the
multifunction display.
This indicator light remains off until the
child lock is activated.
Any other status of the indicator
light indicates a malfunction of the
electric child lock. Have it checked
by a PEUGEOT dealer.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION Do not disconnect the terminals
while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without
d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e t e r m i n a l s fi r s t .
Do not push the vehicle to start the
e n g i n e i f i t i s fi t t e d w i t h a 6 - s p e e d
p i l o t e d m a n u a l g e a r b o x .
The batteries contain harmful sub-
stances such as sulphuric acid and
lead. They must be disposed of in
accordance with regulations and
must not, in any circumstances, be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries
and vehicle batteries to a special
collection point.
Charging the battery using a
battery charger
Disconnect the battery from the
vehicle.
Follow the instructions for use
provided by the manufacturer of the
charger.
Reconnect starting with the negative
terminal (-).
Check that the terminals and
connectors are clean. If they are
covered with sulphate (whitish or
greenish deposit), remove them and
clean them.
At the risk of discharging the bat-
tery, the deactivated functions can
be reactivated manually.
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of cer-
tain functions in relation to the level of
charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the
load reduction function temporarily deac-
tivates certain functions, such as the air
conditioning, the rear screen de-icing...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions
permit.
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left un-
used for more than one month. Before disconnecting
the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off
the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of
the battery
Following reconnection of the
battery, switch on the ignition
and wait 1 minute before starting
to permit initialisation of the
electronic systems. However, if
s l i g h t d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e n c o u n t e r e d
following this operation, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Referring to the corresponding sec-
tion, you must yourself reinitialise:
- the remote control key,
- the glass panoramic roof shutter,
- the GPS satellite navigation
system.
