In this position, the courtesy
light comes on gradually:
Map reading lights
With the ignition on, press the cor-
responding switch.
In permanent lighting mode, differ-
ent lighting times are available:
- w i t h t h e i g n i t i o n o f f , a p p r o x i - mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, ap- p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s ,
- with the engine running, unlim- ited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
-
when the key is removed from the ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking but-
ton is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting. When the front courtesy light is in
the "permanent lighting" position,
the rear courtesy light will also
come on, unless it is in the "perma-
nently off" position.
To switch off the rear courtesy light,
place it in the "permanently off" po-
sition.
Rear side reading lights

es on the reading light concerned in
permanent lighting mode.
Following a second press, it comes on: - when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the
ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is pressed, in order to lo-
cate your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
Take care not to place anything in
contact with the courtesy lights.

VISIBILITY
AMBIENT LIGHTING
The dimmed passenger compartment
lighting improves visibility in the vehicle
when the light is poor. Different lighting times are avail-
able:
- w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s o f f , a p p r o x i -mately ten minutes,

i n e n e r g y e c o n o m y m o d e , a p p r o x i -
mately thirty seconds,
- when the engine is running, no limit.
This comes on automatically when the
boot is opened and switches off auto-
matically when the boot is closed.
INTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING
The remote switching on of the passen-
ger compartment lighting makes your
approach to the vehicle easier in poor
light when in automatic switching on of
the lights mode.
BOOT LIGHTING
Switching on
Press the open padlock on the re-
mote control.
The front and rear door sill lighting, the
footwell lighting and the courtesy lights
come on; your vehicle is also unlocked.
Switching off
The interior welcome lighting switch-
es off automatically after a set time or
when one of the doors is opened.
Programming

At night, the footwell lighting and the
front courtesy light ambient lamp

come on automatically when the side
lights are switched on.
Switching off
The ambient lighting switches off auto-
matically when the dipped headlamps
are switched off.
Programming
The duration of the welcome light-
ing is associated with and identical
to that of the automatic follow-me-
home lighting.
The function is activated or
deactivated via the multi-
f u n c t i o n d i s p l a y c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu.
This function is activated
by default. The duration of maintaining
of the lighting is selected
via the multifunction display

SAFETY
DIRECTION INDICATORS
Selection of the left or right direction in-
dicators to signal a change of direction
of the vehicle. If you forget to cancel the direc-
tion indicators for more than twenty
seconds, the volume of the audible
signal will increase if the speed is
above 40 mph (60 km/h).
Lower the lights stalk fully when
moving to the left.
Raise the lights stalk fully when
moving to the right.
HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
A visual warning by means of the direc-
tion indicators to alert other road users
to a vehicle breakdown, towing or ac-
cident.
A s a s a f e t y p r e c a u t i o n i n a t r a f fi c j a m ,
switch on the hazard warning lights if
you are the last in the queue.
Press button A , the direction indica-
t o r s fl a s h .
They can operate with the ignition off.
Automatic lighting of hazard
warning lights
When braking in an emergency, depend-
ing on the deceleration, the hazard warn-
ing lights come on.
They will switch off automatically the
fi r s t t i m e y o u a c c e l e r a t e .
If they do not, press button A to
switch the direction indicators off.
HORN
Press one of the spokes of the steer-
ing wheel.
Use the horn moderately and only
in the following cases:
- immediate danger,
- when overtaking a cyclist or a pedestrian,
- when approaching an area where there is no visibility.
Audible warning to alert other road us-
ers to an imminent danger.

DRIVING
CRUISE CONTROL
System which automatically maintains
the speed of the vehicle at the value
programmed by the driver, without any
action on the accelerator pedal.
The cruise control is switched on
manually: it requires a minimum vehicle
speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and the en-
gaging:
- of fourth gear on the manual g e a r b o x ,
- of second gear on the piloted manual g e a r b o x o r a u t o m a t i c g e a r b o x , i n
sequential driving mode,
- of position A on the piloted manual
g e a r b o x o r D on the automatic
g e a r b o x . The controls of this system are grouped
together on lever

The cruise control cannot, in any
circumstances, replace the need
to respect speed limits, nor can it
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver.
The cruise control is
switched off
manually or by pressing the brake or
clutch pedal or on triggering of the ESP
system for safety reasons.
I t i s p o s s i b l e t o e x c e e d t h e p r o g r a m m e d
speed temporarily by pressing the ac-
celerator pedal.
To return to the programmed speed,
simply release the accelerator pedal.
Switching off the ignition cancels any
programmed speed value.
