Central STOP
warning light
This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ig-
nition is switched on.
Linked to the warning lights:
- "engine oil pressure and temperature",
- "punctured wheel",
- "maximum coolant temperature",
- " h a n d b r a k e " , " l o w b r a k e fl u i d level", and "electronic brake
force distribution".

warning light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
Linked to the central STOP warning
light.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, it indicates one
of the following:
- i n s u f fi c i e n t o i l p r e s s u r e ,
- a lack of oil in the lubrication circuit. Top up the level,
- an oil temperature which is too high. The warning light is accom-
panied by an audible signal. To
lower the oil temperature, reduce
your speed.

S e r v i c e w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on for a few sec-
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
If this warning light comes on, with the en-
gine running, accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the multifunc-
tion display, it indicates the occurrence of
a problem in one of the systems which
d o e s n o t h a v e a s p e c i fi c w a r n i n g l i g h t .
Consult the message on the multi-
function display to identify the system
concerned.
Check:
- the remote control battery,
- the pressure of the tyres,
- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the condition of the bulbs.
For all other cases, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
The lighting of this warning light may
also indicate the start of saturation of
t h e p a r t i c l e e m i s s i o n fi l t e r ( D i e s e l ) ,
due to exceptionally prolonged urban
driving conditions: low speed, long
t r a f fi c j a m s , . . .
I n o r d e r t o r e g e n e r a t e t h e fi l t e r , y o u
are advised to drive, as soon as traf-
fi c c o n d i t i o n s p e r m i t , a t a s p e e d o f
35 mph (60 km/h) or more for at least
fi v e m i n u t e s ( u n t i l t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t
switches off).
If the warning light remains on, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A BULB 2 - Dipped beam headlamps/Main beam headlamps
(H4 - 60/55 W)
- Remove the plastic cover B .
- Disconnect the connector.
- Push the spring D towards the
right, as indicated on the head-
lamp.
- Remove and replace the bulb. 3 - Direction indicators
(PY 21 W amber)
- Turn the bulb holder C a quarter
of a turn and remove it.
- Turn the bulb a quarter of a turn.
- Remove the bulb and change it.
In certain weather conditions
(low temperatures, humid-
ity), the presence of con-
densation on the inside
of the headlamp glass is normal ;
it disappears a few minutes after the
lights have been switched on.
Front lights
1 - Side lights (W 5 W)
- Remove the plastic cover
A .
- Remove the bulb holder.
- Remove the bulb and change it.

Only use H4 bulbs manufac-
tured by:
- GE/TUNGSRAM.
- PHILIPS,
- OSRAM,
to avoid damaging the headlamps.
Direction indicator side repeaters
(WY 5 W amber)
- Push the repeater cover for-wards and release it.
- Remove the repeater and change it.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to ob-
tain a new bulb. 4 - Front fog lamps (H1 - 55 W)
- O p e n t h e fl a p , l o c a t e d u n d e r t h e
mud guard, to gain access to the
screw.
- Remove the screw.
- Push the assembly outwards to extract it.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Turn the protective cover A a
quarter of a turn.
- Disconnect the connector B .
- Move aside the springs C .
- Remove the bulb and change it.
Amber coloured bulbs (di-
rection indicators and side
repeaters) must be replaced
b y b u l b s o f i d e n t i c a l s p e c i fi -
cation and colour.
These meet the anti-UV (ultra-violet)
s p e c i fi c a t i o n s n e c e s s a r y f o r t h e c o r -
rect operation and reliability of the
headlamps.
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p o l y -
carbonate lens coated with a protec-
tive varnish. You are strongly advised
to avoid cleaning them using a dry or
abrasive cloth and using detergent
products or solvents.
Use a soft, damp cloth with soapy
water.

Rear lights
1. Brake/side lights
(P21 W/5 W).
2. Direction indicators
(P21 W).
3. Reversing light
(P21 W), left side.
Fog lamp (P21 W), right side.
These 4 bulbs are changed by re-
moving the light:
R e m o v e t h e a c c e s s fl a p i n t h e
corresponding boot side trim to
access the light,
R e m o v e t h e t w o l i g h t fi x i n g n u t s
inside the boot,
Unclip the harness,
Remove the light pressing on the
retaining tabs,
Remove the seal,
Remove the bulb holder moving
aside the two tabs A ,
Turn the bulb a quarter of a turn,
Remove the bulb and change it.
Note: if necessary, use the wheel-
brace to remove the nuts.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g , p r o c e e d i n t h e r e -
verse order and take care to position
the bulb holder, the seal and the light
correctly. Third brake light
(4 W 5 W bulbs)
Using a 10 mm box spanner, un-
s c r e w t h e 2 fi x i n g n u t s A .
Release the lamp unit by push-
ing it outwards.
Disconnect the connector and
the rear wash-wipe pipe.
Turn the bulb holder a quarter of
a turn and remove it.
Remove the bulb and change it.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g , p r o c e e d i n t h e r e v e r s e
order and ensure that the lamp unit
seal and the rear wash-wipe pipe have
been put back in place correctly.
Do not tighten the nuts more than is
necessary at the risk of breaking the
light.
Number plate lights (W 5 W)
Insert a thin screwdriver into one
of the external holes of the lens.
Push it outwards to unclip it.
Remove the lens.
Remove the bulb and change it.
