THIRD ROW POWER FOLDING
SEATS (if so equipped)
The third row power folding seat controls are
located on the second row passenger (right-
hand) side cupholder console
s1and on the
passenger (righthand) rear quarter trim panel
area (behind third row seating)
s2.
Before operating the 3rd row seats:
cMake sure the second row seatback isn’t
reclined.
cLower the 3rd row headrest to the full down
position.cDisconnect and secure the center seatbelt
and tongues into the retractor base. See
“Stowing the 3rd row center seatbelt” later
in this section.
– Always reconnect the center seatbelt
when the seat is returned to the upright
position
cMake sure that there are no objects on the
seatback cushion.
CAUTION
Make sure the seat(s) is returned to the
full upright position before a passenger
sits in the seat(s) .
When folding or returning the seat(s) to
the upright position, to avoid injury to
yourself and others:
cMake sure that the seat path is clear
before moving the seat.
cBe careful not to allow hands or feet to
get caught or pinched in the seat.To fold down the third row seats, press and hold
the bottom portion of the switch.
To raise the third row seats, press and hold the
top portion of the switch.
A chime will sound three times to indicate the
start of the operation.
A warning beep will sound 5 times if the seat isn’t
in the full upright or folded position when the
ignition is put in the ON position. If the warning
beep is still present after one complete cycle and
if the seats are in the full upright or folded posi-
tion, bring your vehicle in for service.

If the ignition is off, the power folding seats are
always operational.
If the ignition is on, the power folding seats are
only operational when the transmission is in P
(Park) or N (Neutral) .
If the engine is started during operation, the
seat(s) will temporarily pause.
NOTE:
Operating the power folding seats can dis-
charge the vehicle battery if the vehicle is
not running.
PRECAUTIONS ON SEAT BELT
USAGE
If you are wearing your seat belt properly ad-
justed and you are sitting upright and well back in
your seat with both feet on the floor, your chances
of being injured or killed in an accident and/or the
severity of injury may be greatly reduced.
NISSAN strongly encourages you and all of your
passengers to buckle up every time you drive,
even if your seating position includes a supple-
mental air bag.
Most U.S. states and Canadian provinces
or territories specify that seat belts be worn
at all times when a vehicle is being driven.

WARNING
cAlways fasten the connector tongue
and the seat belt in the order shown.
cAlways make sure both the connector
tongue and the seat belt tongue are
secured when using the seat belt. Do
not use it with only the seat belt tongue
attached. This could result in serious
personal injury in case of an accident or
a sudden stop.Stowing the 3rd row center seat belt
When folding down the 3rd row seat, the 3rd row
center seat belt can be retracted into a stowed
position as follows:
s1Hold the connector tongue so that the seat
belt does not retract suddenly when the
tongue is released from the connector
buckle. Release the connector tongue by
inserting a suitable tool such as a key into the
connector buckle
sA.
s2Retract the seat belt up to the retractor base.
s3Insert the seat belt tongue into the fabric
sleeve so it will lay flat. Then secure the
connector tongue into the retractor base.
WARNING
cDo not unfasten the rear center seat
belt connector except when folding
down the rear seat.
cWhen attaching the rear center seat
belt connector, be certain that the seat-
backs are completely secured in the
latched position and the rear center
seat belt connector is completely
secured.
