To stop the function
- move the control from position "LIM" to position 0.
- or stop the engine.
The speed that you chose is memo-rised.
In the event of a malfunction, a message is displayed, accompanied by a sound signal and lighting of the SERVICE warning lamp.
Consult your CITROËN dealer.
A fl o o r m a t n o t r e c o m -mended by CITROËN risks sliding under the accelerator pedal, thus preventing you from pressing past the tight spot.
It will then be impossible to exit from the desired limitation, unless by acting on the steer-ing wheel control.
The driver must still remain atten-tive and in complete control of the vehicle.
We advise the driver to keep their feet close to the pedals.
Note: if during speed limitation, the system cannot keep to the maxi-mum speed (especially on a steep descent or if you accelerate too h a r d ) t h e s p e e d fl a s h e s . A d a p t y o u r speed as necessary.
The function will re-engage when your speed has returned below the desired maximum.
Deactivation of the maximum speed
Press button 3.
The information "OFF" will appear on the instrument panel screen.
This action does not cancel the memorised maximum speed, which remains displayed in zone A of the instrument panel.
Temporary override of the maximum speed
You can exceed the memorised maximum speed at any time by pressing the accelerator pedal hard down past the tight spot.
During the time the limit speed is being exceeded, the displayed s p e e d fl a s h e s .
You have only to release the accel-erator pedal to return below the maximum speed, thus keeping the function active.

Protection cover
HDi 135 and 140 engines
Remove the protection cover by fi r s t u n c l i p p i n g p o i n t 1, then 3 and4 . D e t a c h p o i n t 2 by pulling towards you, then lift.
To reposition the protection cover, attach point 2 fi r s t . L o w e r t h e c o v e r , keeping it centred. Clip points 1 and4, pushing vertically and slightly rearwards. Clip point 3 pushing down vertically.

Bleeding of water from the diesel f u e l fi l t e r
To be bled on a regular basis (at every oil change).
To evacuate the water, slacken the bleed screw or the water in diesel fuel sensor, which is located at the b a s e o f t h e fi l t e r , u n t i l w a t e r c e a s e s t o fl o w o u t .
Then retighten the bleed screw or the water in diesel fuel sensor.
DIESEL INJECTION EQUIPMENTWear of brake discs, brake pads and brake drums
The rate of wear of the brake pads depends on the use of your vehicle (urban use, frequent stops), and on your style of driving or the type of journey.
For information on checking the discs and drums for wear, contact a CITROËN dealer.
After washing the vehicle, brake progressively to dry out the brake linings.

D e t a c h t h e p r o t e c t i o n c o v e r t o access the priming pump.
In the event of running out of fuel:
- A f t e r fi l l i n g ( 5 l i t r e s m i n i m u m ) , operate the manual priming pump until some resistance is felt.
- Operate the starter motor while depressing the accelerator pedal slightly until the engine starts.
I f t h e e n g i n e f a i l s t o s t a r t a t t h e fi r s t attempt, wait 15 seconds before trying again.
If the engine fails to start after seve-ral attempts, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
When the engine is idling, accele-rate slightly to complete the bleeding of the circuit.

RDS SYTEM
Using the RDS (radio data system) function on FM
The majority of FM radio stations use the RDS system. The radio in your vehicle has this system.The RDS system enables these stations to transmit non-audible data in addition to the broadcasting of their programmes. The data provides access to various functions described in this chapter, such as: display of t h e s t a t i o n n a m e , i n t e r m i t t e n t t r a f fi c i n f o r m a t i o n fl a s h e s o r a u t o m a t i c scanning of stations. This enables you to continue listening to your chosen radio station, regardless of the different frequencies it uses in the regions through which you are travelling.
Scanning of RDS stations
Your radio keeps the best possible reception by continuously looking for any other frequencies on which the selected radio station is broadcast, automatically choosing the frequency offering the best reception (if the station broadcasts on more than one transmitter or frequency).
Activation/deactivation of the RDS functions
The RDS functions can be accessed via the following two menus:- Main menu (press button O).
- AUDIO menu (press button L).
To activate/deactivate the RDS functions on the display C:
1. Press button O.
2. Select the AUDIO icon using buttons J or M.
3. C o n fi r m y o u r c h o i c e w i t h a press on button L.
4. Select the sub-menu for the FM waveband, via buttons J or M. C o n fi r m y o u r c h o i c e w i t h a press on button L.
5. Select scanning for RDS sta-tions, via buttons J or M.
6. Validate your choice with a press on button L.
7. Using control L, select/deselect to activate/deactivate the func-tion.
8. Validate your choice by select-ing "OK" on the display.
To activate/deactivate the RDS functions on the display A:
1. Press button O.
2. Select the AUDIO-CD icon via buttons J or M.
3. Select scanning for RDS sta-tions, via buttons J or M. The system tells you the status (active or inactive) of the func-tion.
4. Modify this status via buttons Kor N.
5. Then please wait for the display to disappear.
Note:
If the RDS function is active:- The "RDS" on the display will light up provided the station being received uses the RDS system with scanning of frequencies.
- The "RDS" on the display is barred if the station received uses the RDS system without frequency search.
If your RDS function is deactivated, the "RDS" on the display will be absent in all cases.The display will indicate the "NAME" for the stations that use the RDS system and the frequency for stations that do not use it.
