O P E N I N G
Opening
Open the rear screen 1 by press-ing on control A and open the tailgate 2 by pressing on control B located inside the tailgate.
Access to the spare wheel
Lift up the carpet, then remove the toolbox to access the wheel.
Access to the tools
The tools are located in the toolbox in the spare wheel. Pull the strap to access

Open the rear screen 1 by pressing on control A located above the letter R in CITROËN.

Tailgate
It is necessary to open the rear screen to gain access to the tailgate opening control.
Always close the tailgate before re-closing the rear screen.
I n C a b r i o l e t o r S p i d e r c o n fi g u -ration, it is necessary to move the roof cassette to access the spare wheel.

Locking from the inside
A press on the control A operates the electric central locking and unlocking, provided all the doors are closed.
It is still possible to open the doors from the inside.
If one of the doors, or the rear screen or the tailgate, is open or not properly closed, then the cen-tral locking does not operate.
The warning lamp associated with the control A s i g n a l s 3 s t a t u s e s :A l t fl a s h e s w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n k e y i s i n t h e s t o p p o s i t i o n o r w h e n t h e k e y i s n o t detected and the doors are locked. I t l i g h t s u p w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n k e y i s i n t h e “ a c c e s s o r i e s ” p o s i t i o n o r “ i g n i t i o n + engine running” or starter position and if the door s are locked.
It goes out when the doors are not locked.Note: Control A is inactive if the vehicle has been locked using t he remote control or the key.
Anti-theft
A s s o o n a s t h e v e h i c l e r e a c h e s a s p e e d o f a r o u n d 1 0 k m / h ( a p p r o x . 6 m p h ) , t h e rear screen and the tailgate lock automatically. The rear screen and the tailgate unlock when a door is opened or when you press the locking/unlocking button.
Anti-theft protection
On starting the vehicle, the system automatically locks the doors as soon as y o u r e a c h a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 0 k m / h ( a p p r o x . 6 m p h ) .Note: If a door has been opened, this will lock again aut omatically when the vehicle reaches approx. 10 km/h (approx. 6 mph).
Activation / Deactivation of the function
After switching on the ignition, give a long press on the central unlocking button until a message is displayed.

The luggage cover integral to the rear screen folds up automatically when the rear screen is opened,

A. Press the light grey control located on the interior face of the rear screen.
B. Lift the assembly a few centi-metres until it clicks in place.
The rear tailgate should be open throughout the operation to allow the pivoting of the cassette.
The telescopic locking handles of the arches should be completely retracted in their housings (see the following pages for removing the arches).
Before stowing the cassette in the boot, make sure that the boot is empty.
Prior conditions for the fold-ing operation:The ignition must be switched on.The soft roof must have fully slid onto the rear screen (Posi-tion 9).
The rear part of the movable fl o o r m u s t h a v e b e e n r e m o v e d .
The boot must be empty.The rear tailgate 2 should be open and the rear screen 1closed.
Make sure that the luggage r e t a i n i n g r i n g s a r e d o w n fl a t .

It is essential for the tailgate 2 to be closed when the vehicle is being driven.
Prior conditions for remov-ing the arches:The roof cassette should be stowed away.The tailgate 2 should be open and all the windows should be down.

Ensure that the contact surfaces are clean and dry.
Handle the arches with care so as not to damage the vehicle’s bodywork.
Prior conditions for the oper-ation:The windows should be down and the tailgate open.The handles 1 should be in the up position (unlocked).

The telescopic handles for locking the arches should be fully retracted into their housings.
Should the cassette not lock correctly, pivot it downward again, pressing the light grey control located on the in terior f a c e ( S e e c h a n g e o f c o n fi g u r a t i o n S a l o o n t o C a b r i o l e t ) . T h e n restart the operation.
Prior conditions for reposi-tioning the cassette:The rear tailgate should be open. T h e r e a r p a r t o f t h e b o o t fl o o r should be removed.
The telescopic handles for unlocking the arches should be fully retracted into their housings (see preceding pages for the repositioning of the arches).
Pull on edge A of the cassette to pivot the cassette upwards.
