ESP/ASR
Operating
It comes on for a few seconds each time you switch on the ignition.
If either of the ESP or ASRsystems is active, the warning lamp fl ashes.
For a malfunction
When the vehicle is moving, the lighting of this warning lamp indicates a system malfunction.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
Function deactivated
The warning lamp remains conti-nuously on.
Front passenger's airbag deactivation
See "Airbags".
It is tested briefl y on starting.
Airbag fault
See "Airbags".
It is tested briefl y on starting.
ABS system
The ABS warning lamp lights up when you switch on the ignition: it should go out after a few seconds.
If it does not go out, there could be a system malfunction.

Foot on brake (Electronic Gearbox System)
The fl ashing of this war-ning lamp in the instrument panel indicates the need to apply the brake pedal in order to start the engine or engage reverse gear.
Stop & Start
The lighting of this warning lamp indicates that the engine is in shutdown mode.

If the hazard lamps are activated, this means that the direction indicators fl ash on both sides at the same time.

Deactivation of the "Stop & Start" system:
You can if you wish deactivate the "Stop & Start" system, by pressing the "ECO OFF" button located on the left hand side on the central panel.
The warning lamp on the button then comes on, and your vehi cle functions like an ordinary vehicle.
You can reactivate the system with another press on the "ECO OFF" button: The warning lamp on the button goes out.Note: The "Stop & Start" system reactivates automatically each time you restart the vehicle.
Batteries
To operate correctly, the system requires a specifi c battery and also a small additional battery which is situated under one of the front seats.
For a change of battery, consult a CITROËN dealer.
Remark:
If there is a malfunction of the "Stop & Start" system, the "ECO" wa rning lamp fl ashes briefl y, accompanied by an audible alert. The "ECO OFF" warning lamp lights up.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
If the engine is in shutdown mode, it can restart at any moment.
Before taking any action under the bonnet, it is imperativ e to switch off the ignition.
Before leaving the vehicle, it is also essential to switch off the ignition.

1. Interior lamps
Move the control 1 to the 3 following positions.
Automatic lighting of the interior lampsOn entering the vehicle:
They come on as soon as the vehicle is unlocked or a door is opened.They go out 30 seconds after the doors are closed or when ignition is switched on.
On vacating the vehicle:They come on as soon as the ignition key is removed (timed for 30 seconds), or when a door is opened.
They go out 30 seconds after all the doors have been closed or immediately after the vehicle has been locked.
2. Spotlamps
A press on one of the buttons 2 switches the corresponding spotlamp on or off.
These do not work if the ignition is off or in economy mode.

Towing with wheels on the ground
Towing eye fi xings are located at the front and at the rear of the vehicle.
To access them:Carefully lift the access cover.
Release it by pressing on the lower part.
A lug keeps the cover attached to the bumper, so that it do es not become lost.
The ignition key must be in position M to retain steering.
Use a bar with attachments to the towing eyes as above.
Vehicles with manual gearbox (diesel models)
For vehicles with a manual gearbox, the gear lever must be in "neutral", otherwise some components in the braking system could b ecome damaged and impair braking assistance the next time the engine is started.

The reception of AM and FM signals may suffer from interference, which is caused by the nature and propaga-tion of the signals and does not refl ect on the quality of your radio installation.In AM, the reception may be affected when passing under power lines or bridges, or when travelling through tunnels.In FM mode, the reception may be affected by the distance from the station transmitter, the refl ecting of signals off obstacles (mountains, hills, tower blocks) and radio blackspots (no coverage from the station transmitter).

Scrolling stops as soon as a station is found. NaviDrive remains tuned to the frequency displayed.
M ANUAL PRE -SETTINGSelect the waveband and memor y bank required using button R.Select a station using either automatic or manual search.Keep pressing for more than two seconds on one of the pre-selection buttons 1 to 6on the keypad W.A window opens on the screen, the station is memorised as it is displayed on the memory number you have given it.

S EARCHING FOR A STATION BROAD -CASTING THIS PROGRAMME TYPEOnce you have selected the programme type, validate to start a search.NaviDrive will settle on the fi rst transmitter broadcasting this type of programme. If none can be found, the system will return to the station it was originally tuned to and then quit the PT Y function.
P RE -SETTING A STATION BROADCAST -ING THIS PROGRAMME TYPESearch to select a station.While it is broadcasting, keep one of the pre-selection buttons 1 to 6 on the keypad Wpressed for more than two seconds.To recall the pre-set programme type, press the corresponding button.
Q UITTING PTY MODETo quit this function, press on button S for more than two seconds, then NaviDrive will revert to normal mode.
