Removal1. Park the vehicle on stable, fi rm ground that is not slippery. Apply the parking brake.Switch off the ignition and engage fi rst gear or reverse gear, depending on any slope.Ensure that all vehicle occupants have left the vehicle an d are positioned in a safe place.2. Position the jack at one of the four jacking-points provided on the subframe close to the wheels. Using the handle, unwind the jack until it reaches the ground.3. To unclip the wheel embellisher, pull using the end of the wheelbrace as a lever in one of the apertures.For vehicles with aluminium wheel rims:With a central embellisher, remove the embellisher, using the tool, to access the bolts.With visible wheel bolts, remove the chromed bolt protectors, usi ng the tool, before slackening the bolts.4. Continue to extend the jack until the wheel is a few centimetres off the ground.5. Undo the other bolts, remove the wheel.

Refi tting1. Fit the wheel on the hub, using the centring guide.2. Screw in the bolts but do not fully tighten them, remove the wheel centring guide in order to screw in the last bolt.3. Lower the jack and remove it.4. Tighten the wheel bolts, using the wheelbrace.5. Refi t the embellisher, taking care to accommodate the tyre valve . Then pressing all round its circumference.6. Have the original wheel repaired and refi tted as soon as possible.7. Make sure that the tyre is at the correct pressure (see "Vehicle Ident ifi cation" and "User Precautions") and have the wheel balancing checked.
Dimension of the spare wheel
If your spare wheel has dimensions different from those of the normal vehicle wheels (identifi ed by a label), it is imperative to use the spare wheel only temporarily, to drive with caution, not to exceed 80 km/h (50 mph) and to have the tyre repaired and the normal wheel refi tted as soon as po ssible.

Because the aerosol is pressurised, do not expose it to temperatures higher than 50 °C.
After provisionally repairing a tyre using the repair aerosol, you are advised not to drive at over 80 km/h.
If your vehicle has no spare wheel, a repair aerosol is to be found in the boot.
Using the repair aerosol
See also the user instructions on the aerosol.Remove, if possible, the object which has caused the puncture.
Orient the wheel so that the valve is at ten o’clock or two o’clock.Shake the aerosol vigorously (in cold weather warm it in your hands for a few minutes).
With one hand hold the valve connector clear of the rim hole, with the other hand press the end of the aerosol nozzle fi rmly onto the connector, keeping it in the line of the valve.Firmly maintain the pressure for one minute.
Rapidly remove the aerosol and immediately drive for around six miles.
Reinfl ate the tyre and check its condition after some ten hours.
After using the repair aerosol, you should have the condition of the tyre, as well as its infl ation pressure, inspected.

Towing with wheels on the ground
Towing eye fi xings are located at the front and at the rear of the vehicle.
To access them:Carefully lift the access cover.
Release it by pressing on the lower part.
A lug keeps the cover attached to the bumper, so that it do es not become lost.
The ignition key must be in position M to retain steering.
Use a bar with attachments to the towing eyes as above.
Vehicles with manual gearbox (diesel models)
For vehicles with a manual gearbox, the gear lever must be in "n eutral", otherwise some components in the braking system could become damaged and impair braking assistance the next time the engine is started.
