Sidelamps and dipped beams come on automatically in poor ambient light, or if the wipers are in continu-ous operation. They go out as soon as the ambient light again become s u f fi c i e n t o r w h e n t h e w i p e r s c e a s e to operate.
Guide-me-home lighting
This function switches on your headlamps, to light your way when you wish to walk from a carpark, for example.
This function is activated:Manually by pulling the lighting stalk towards you, ignition off.
Automatically, provided:The automatic lighting of headlamps is activated.To activate the guide-me-home lighting function, select in the "Main menu", then in "Personalisation/Configura-tion", the sub-menu for lighting and signalling, then activate the function.See "Multifunction display".Note:It is possible to modify the dura-tion of the guide-me-home lighting (approx. 60, 30 or 15 seconds) in the menu "Per- s o n a l i s a t i o n / C o n fi g u r a t i o n " .

To select automatic mode
Place the selection lever in posi-tion A.
"AUTO" displays on the instrument p a n e l t o c o n fi r m t h e s e l e c t i o n .
The gearbox then operates in auto-active mode, without intervention on your part.
It constantly selects the gear best adapted to the following parame-ters:Style of driving.
R o a d p r o fi l e . V e h i c l e l o a d .
Instant manual mode
Even in automatic mode, if you touch the controls under the steer- i n g w h e e l " + " o r " - " y o u i m m e d i -ately change gear.
The symbol "AUTO" remains lit on the instrument panel.
In the absence of any further action, automatic mode reactivates to cope with the prevailing driving conditions.
Cancellation of automatic mode
Move the gear lever from position A to select a different position.
The symbol "AUTO" disappears from the instrument panel.

This driving assistance function allows you to drive at the spee d of your choice without the need to action the accelerator.

The button A for cruise control is located on the lighting control stalk.

To select the function
Turn the control 1 to the "CRUISE" position.
When you select the function via control 1, no speed has yet been memorised.
To select a cruise speed
Accelerate to the desired speed, then give a short press on butt on 2 or button 4.
The cruise speed is then memorised. It is shown in the display on instrument panel B.
You can then release the accelerator pedal. The vehicle will automatically keep to that chosen speed.
Remark: The vehicle speed may vary slightly from that memorised.

Temporary override of the cruise speed
While cruise control is in operation, it is always possible to go above the cruise speed simply by pressing the ac cel-erator pedal (for example to overtake another vehic le). T h e s p e e d d i s p l a y e d fl a s h e s . Y o u h a v e o n l y t o r e l e a s e t h e accelerator pedal to return to your cruise speed.
Remark: If during cruise control the system cannot keep to the cruise speed (e.g. on a steep descent), then the speed fl a s h e s . I f n e c e s s a r y , b r a k e t o c u r b y o u r s p e e d .
Adjustment of the memorised speed while cruise control is in operation
To adjust the memorised speed, displayed in zone B, press:Button 4 to increase the speed.
Button 2 to decrease the speed.
Remark: Successive presses will modify the cruise speed in steps of 1 km/h and a continuous press in steps of 5 km/h ( 3 m p h ) .
Disengagement of the memorised cruise speed.Either by pressing the brake pedal or the clutch pedal.
Or by the ESP system being active.Or by pressing button 3.Note: Cruise control is deactivated if the gear lever is in neutral (position N)

This driving assistance function enables you to select a maximum speed that you wish not to exceed. This must be greater than 30.
Control A for the speed limiter is situated below the lighting/signalling con-trol stalk.
Remark: The information relating to the speed limiter is displayed in the instrument panel screen at B. This display causes the trip computer infor-mation to disappear (if it is shown on the instrument panel).
To select the function
Turn control 1 to position "LIMIT".
On selection of the function via control 1, the last speed memorised is displayed.
To adjust the maximum speed
When the engine is running, you can adjust the memorised spee d by either short presses or long presses on:Button 4 to increase the memorised speed.
Button 2 to decrease the memorised speed.
Remark: Successive presses will modify the cruise speed in steps of 1 km/h a n d a c o n t i n u o u s p r e s s i n s t e p s o f 5 k m / h ( 3 m p h ) .
Activation of the maximum speed
As the desired maximum speed is displayed, press control 3 to activate the speed limitation.

Disengagement of the maximum speed
Press button 3 located on the end of control A.
This action causes the information "OFF" to appear in the instrument panel screen.
The memorised speed remains displayed and is not cancelled.
Temporary override of the maximum speed
At any time, it is possible to go above the memorised maximum speed by pressing the accelerator pedal hard down past the tight spot.
W h i l e t h e m e m o r i s e d s p e e d i s b e i n g e x c e e d e d , t h e d i s p l a y e d s p e e d fl a s h e s .
You have only to release the accelerator pedal to return below the maximum speed, to restore the function.
Remark: If during speed limitation the system cannot keep to the maxi mum speed (especially on a steep descent or i f y o u a c c e l e r a t e t o o h a r d ) , t h e s p e e d fl a s h e s . A d a p t y o u r s p e e d a s n e c e s s a r y .
The function will re-engage when your speed has returned below the desired maximum.
To cancel the functionBy moving the control from position "LIMIT" to position 0.Or stop the engine.
The speed that you chose is memorised.

P A R K I N G A S S I S T A N C E
Proximity sensors are located in the rear bumper of your vehicle.
When you are manœuvring in reverse gear at a speed of less than around 10 km/h, they inform you of the presence of any obsta-cle located within their detection zone, by means of:An audible signal emitted by the rear loudspeakers on the LH and/or RH side.Display of the outline of your vehicle with shading corre-sponding to the area where an obstacle is detected.
As the vehicle approaches the obstacle, the sound signal becomes more and more urgent and the shaded areas are displayed closer and closer to the vehicle.
When the obstacle is less than a r o u n d 2 5 c e n t i m e t r e s f r o m t h e vehicle, the sound signal becomes continuous with display of a "WARNING" panel on the screen.

Locking from the inside
A press on the control A operates the electric central locking and unlocking, provided all the doors are closed.
It is still possible to open the doors from the inside.
If one of the doors or the tailgate is open or not properly closed, the central locking does not operate.
The warning lamp associated with the control A s i g n a l s 3 s t a t u s e s : l t fl a s h e s w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n k e y i s i n t h e s t o p p o s i t i o n o r w h e n t h e k e y i s not detected and the doors are locked.It lights up when the ignition key is in the "accessories" posit ion or "igni- t i o n + e n g i n e r u n n i n g " o r s t a r t e r p o s i t i o n a n d i f t h e d o o r s a r e l o c k e d .
It goes out when the doors are not locked.Note: Control A is inactive if the vehicle has been locked using the remote control or the key.
Anti-theft
In all cases, as soon as the vehicle is moving (above a speed of 10 km/h), the tailgate locks automatically. The tailgate unlocks when a door is opened or when the interior locking/unlocking control is actioned.
Anti-theft protection
On starting the vehicle, the system automatically locks the doors a s soon as y o u r e a c h a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 0 k m / h ( a p p r o x . 6 m p h ) .Note: If a door has been opened, this will lock again automatically when the vehicle reaches approx. 10 (approx. 6 mph).
Activation/Deactivation of the function
After switching on the ignition, give a long press on the ce ntral unlocking button until a message is displayed.
