Front passenger's airbag deactivation
In order to be able to use a rear-facing child seat in the front passenger's seat position, it is imperative to deactivate the passenger's airbag.
For that:With the ignition switched off, insert the key into the switch A.
Turn the key to the "OFF" position, the passenger's airbag is deactivated.
The front passenger's airbag deactivation warning lamp, in th e instrument panel, lights up when you switch on the ignition.
Reactivating the front passenger's airbag
Do not forget to reactivate the function.
For that:With the ignition switched off, insert the key into the switch A.
Turn the key to the "ON" position, the airbag is activated.
The warning lamp in the instrument panel lights up for a f ew seconds when you switch on the ignition.
The airbags only function with the ignition switched on. A slight noise is emitted when they are triggered.
Note: the gas released from the airbags may be a mild irritant.

ISOFIX anchoring points and the ISOFIX fastening system
The rear seats of your vehicle are equipped with ISOFIX anchoring p o i n t s . T h e s e c o n s i s t o f 2 r i n g s located between the backrest and t h e v e h i c l e s e a t , a p p r o x . 2 8 c m apart.
ISOFIX child seats are equipped w i t h 2 l a t c h e s w h i c h a r e e a y t o a t t a c h t o t h e s e r i n g s . T h i s fi x i n g system is intended for children weighing up to 18 kg.
Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises protec-tion of the child in the event of a col-lision. The ISOFIX system enables you to minimise the risks posed by i n c o r r e c t fi t t i n g . T h e I S O F I X f a s t e n -ing system gives you a convenient, s t r o n g a n d r e l i a b l e fi t t i n g f o r a c h i l d seat in your vehicle.

T h i s c h i l d s e a t h a s b e e n a p p r o v e d f o r c h i l d r e n b e t w e e n 9 – 1 8 k g . I t c a n only be installed in the "forward-facing" position. The front seat must be adjusted so that the child’s feet are not touching the backrest of the front seat (slide the rear seat back as far as possible). The use of a t op belt is not necessary.

Child seats secured by means of the vehicle seat belt
I n c o n f o r m i t y w i t h D i r e c t i v e 2 0 0 3 / 2 0 , the table tells you to what extent each of the seat positions in your vehicle may take a child seat that is secured by means of the vehicle seat belt and approved as "Univer-sal" as a function of the weight of the child.
Consult "User Precautions", chapter on "Child Safety" at the end of this handbook, in order to ensure that you are installing your child in conditions of maxi-mum safety.
