accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h r e g u l a t i o n
ISOFIX mountings.
These are three rings for each seat:
- two lower rings A , l o c a t e d
between the vehicle’s seat back
a n d c u s h i o n ,
- an upper ring B , r e f e r r e d t o a s t h e
T O P T E T H E R , l o c a t e d a t t h e r e a r
of the seat back at the bottom. The
ISOFIX child seats a r e fi t t e d
with two locks and/or a strap which
a r e s e c u r e d e a s i l y o n t h e s e r i n g s ,
indicated by labels or a mark on the
rear seat back panel.

signal until the driver fastens his seat
belt.

sengers have fastened their seat belt
correctly.
Air bags warning light
T h i s c o m e s o n f o r a f e w s e c -
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
Passenger air bag disarmed
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light remains on. SensoDrive gearbox
warning light
Fixed lighting of this warning
l i g h t , w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n n i n g , i n d i -
cates a malfunction of the SensoDrive
gearbox.
Emission control
system warning light
This comes on each time the
ignition is switched on until
the engine is started.

system fault.

warning light
Wait until the warning light is
switched off before starting.

Water in diesel filter

This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition is

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.

cle moving, it comes on if the system

ESP) fault warning light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, this indicates a
fault in the system.

Position the seat belt along the door
pillar.
Push control A rearwards to fold the
seat back and move the seat forwards.
To put the seat back in place, push
the seat back until the seat locks.
Reset the forwards-backwards ad-
justment of the seat and the seat
back angle.

- check that the back of the bench seat is secured correctly.
REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS *
The rear head restraints can be re-
moved and have two positions:
- high, position for use.
- low, storage position.
To raise the head restraint, pull it up-
wards.
To lower it, press lug A then the head
restraint.
To remove it:
- tilt the seat back slightly,
- move the head restraint to the high position,
- press lug A pulling the head re-
straint upwards at the same
time.
T o r e fi t i t :
- tilt the seat back slightly,
- engage the rods of the head restraint in the openings.
To reach the low position, press lug A .
F o l d i n g t h e b a c k o f t h e b e n c h
seat:
The seat back is folded from the rear
of the vehicle, with the boot open:
- check that the seat belt is posi-
tioned correctly on the side of the
seat back to avoid damaging it,
- place the head restraints in the low position (see "rear head re-
straints"),
- while folding the seat back, pull the strap(s) A , located behind the
seat back.

When a "forwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the front passenger
seat , adjust the vehicle’s seat to the
intermediate longitudinal position
with the seat back upright and leave
the passenger air bag armed.

CITROËN recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle:
- " r e a r w a r d s - f a c i n g " up to the
age of 2,
- " f o r w a r d s - f a c i n g " over the age
of 2.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compromises
the child’s protection in the event of
an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harness k e e p i n g t h e
s l a c k in relation to the child’s body
to a minimum , even for short jour-
neys.
For optimum installation of the "for-
ward facing" child seat, ensure that
the back of the child seat is in contact
with the back of the vehicle’s seat
and that the head restraint does not
cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached se-
curely to prevent it from being thrown
around the vehicle in the event of
sharp braking. Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied
by other children, cannot be used or
are absent.
Disarm the passenger air bag when
a "rear facing" child seat is installed
on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk be-
ing seriously injured or killed if the air
b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
I n s t a l l i n g a b o o s t e r s e a t
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child’s shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child’s
thighs.
CITROËN recommends the use of
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t -
ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level.
