Bonnet strut
OPENING THE BONNET
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the
end of its travel. Check that the bonnet
is properly locked.
From inside: pull the handle A , on the
left-hand side below the door, towards
you.
From outside: move the catch to the
left then raise the bonnet. Secure the strut in its housing to hold
the bonnet open.
Before closing the bonnet, replace the
strut in its clip.
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
Protection system which also provides
access for checking the various levels
of the engine components.
I f y o u r u n o u t o f f u e l , fi l l t h e t a n k a n d o p -
erate the starter until the engine starts.
Several attempts must be made before
the engine re-starts.

CHANGING A WHEEL
The tools are stored in the storage com-
partment in the boot right-hand trim.
To gain access to them:
open the boot,
turn button A to the left,
remove the cover B ,
r e m o v e t h e fi x i n g b a n d C and take
out the tool bag
D containing the to-
ols,
grip the jack E in your hand and re-
m o v e i t f r o m i t s fi x i n g p o s i t i o n .

Wheel with trim
When changing a wheel,
ensure that the four wheels are
o f i d e n t i c a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d
brand.
When removing the wheel , remove
t h e t r i m fi r s t u s i n g t h e h a n d l e 3 , pulling
at the notch.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e w h e e l , r e fi t t h e t r i m
starting by placing its notch F (indicated
on the back of the trim) opposite the
valve G and press on its periphery with
the palm of your hand.
When storing, take care to secure
the tool bag D fi r m l y u s i n g t h e fi x i n g
band C .

Engine compartment fuses

Access to the fuses
Open the bonnet (refer to the “Access” section),
Press on the hook A to release the catch,
Remove the cover completely,
Change the fuse (refer to the corresponding paragraph).

The battery A is located under the
bonnet on the left.
To gain access to it:
open the bonnet using the interior
l e v e r , t h e n t h e e x t e r i o r l e v e r ,
secure the bonnet strut.
BATTERY
Access to the battery
Connect the red cable to the positive
t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A ,
then to the positive terminal (+) of
the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative terminal
(-) of the slave battery B .
Connect the other end of the green
or black cable to an earth point C
on the broken down vehicle, as
far as possible from the battery
( f o r e x a m p l e , r i g h t - h a n d e n g i n e
mounting).
Start the engine of the assisting
vehicle.
Operate the starter, let the engine
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.
Raise the front of the cover 1 to
release the three clips 2 .
Then pull the cover 1 towards you
to release the clip 3 and remove the
cover.
Check the electrolyte level regularly.
If necessary, top up the level with
distilled water.
