Connect the compressor’s elec-
tric plug to the vehicle’s 12 V
socket again.
Start the vehicle again and leave
the engine running.
Adjust the pressure using the
c o m p r e s s o r ( t o i n fl a t e : s w i t c h A
in position "1" ; t o d e fl a t e :
switch A in position "0" and
press button B ), in accordance
with the vehicle’s tyre pressure
label (located on the door aper-
ture on the left-hand side), then
remember to check that the leak
has been plugged correctly (no
further loss of pressure after
several miles [kilometres]).
Remove the compressor, then
store the whole kit.
Drive at reduced speed (50 mph
[ 8 0 k m / h ] m a x ) l i m i t i n g t h e d i s -
t a n c e t r a v e l l e d t o a p p r o x i m a t e l y
120 miles (200 km).
Visit a CITROËN dealer as soon
as possible to have the tyre re-
paired or replaced by a techni-
cian. Take care, the bottle of
p u n c t u r e r e p a i r fl u i d c o n -
tains ethylene-glycol. This
product is harmful if swallowed and
causes irritation to the eyes. Keep
it out of reach of children.
T h e e x p i r y d a t e o f t h e fl u i d i s i n d i -
cated on the base of the bottle.
The bottle is designed for a sin-
gle use; even if only partly used, it
must be replaced.
After use, do not discard the bottle
into the environment, take it to an
authorised waste disposal site.
Do not forget to obtain a new
bottle of sealant, available from
CITROËN dealers.

CHANGING A WHEEL
Access to the tools
The tools are to be found in a protec-
tive holder inside the spare wheel.
Pull back the retaining strap for

Access to the spare wheel
To remove the spare wheel
L i f t u p t h e b o o t fl o o r u s i n g t h e
strap (Saloon) or the retractable
handle (Tourer).
Fold back the boot carpet
(Saloon).
Attach the hook to the top of the
boot.
Detach the strap then push the
wheel forwards so as to be able
to lift it. To reposition the spare wheel
P o s i t i o n t h e s p a r e w h e e l fl a t i n
the boot, then pull it towards
you.
N e x t p l a c e t h e t o o l b o x i n s i d e t h e
wheel, then secure the assembly
with the belt.
Release the strap to return the
b o o t fl o o r t o i t s i n i t i a l p o s i t i o n . The tyre pressure is indi-
cated on the label located
on the left-hand door centre
pillar. On this label, the pressures
a r e s p e c i fi e d , a c c o r d i n g t o t h e v e -
hicle load.

Removing a wheel
P a r k t h e v e h i c l e o n s t a b l e , fi r m
ground that is not slippery. apply
the parking brake.
If your vehicle is equipped with
"Hydractive III+" suspension,
with the engine running at idle,
adjust the ground clearance to
i t s m a x i m u m h e i g h t .
Switch off the ignition and en-
g a g e fi r s t g e a r o r r e v e r s e g e a r
depending on any slope (for a
v e h i c l e w i t h a u t o m a t i c g e a r b o x ,
select position P).
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h
"Hydractive III+" suspension,
position the chock, whichever di-
rection the gradient may be in, in
front of the front wheel diametri-
cally opposite to the one to be
replaced.
Position the jack at one of the
four jacking-points provided
on the underbody close to the
wheels, then use the wheelbrace
to unwind the jack until it reaches
the ground.
Remove the protector from each
bolt using tool 3 .
Slacken the wheel bolts.
Before positioning the
jack:
Always adjust the vehicle’s
g r o u n d c l e a r a n c e t o t h e " m a x i -
mum height" position and re-
tain this adjustment for as long
as the jack is under the vehi-
cle (do not use the hydraulic
adjustments),
Immobilise your vehicle on hori-
zontal, stable and non-slippery
ground,
Ensure that any passengers
have left the vehicle and are in
a safe place .
Never get underneath the vehicle if
it is supported only by the jack.
The jack and all of the tools are
s p e c i fi c t o y o u r v e h i c l e . D o n o t u s e
them for any other applications.
Have the original wheel repaired
a n d r e fi t t e d a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e .
C o n t i n u e t o e x t e n d t h e j a c k u n t i l
the wheel is a few centimetres
off the ground.
Undo the bolts, remove the
wheel.

Wheel for temporary use
Y o u r v e h i c l e m a y b e fi t t e d w i t h a
spare wheel which is different to

the spare wheel, it is normal to no-
tice that the wheel bolt washers do
not come into contact with the wheel
rim. The spare wheel is secured by
the conical tapering of the wheel
bolt’s shaft.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e o r i g i n a l w h e e l ,
ensure that the wheel bolt contact
surfaces are clean and in good con-
dition. Fitting a wheel
Fit the wheel on the hub, using
the centring guide. Make sure
that the contact surface between
the hub and the wheel is clean.
Screw in the bolts but do not fully
tighten them.
Lower the jack and remove it.
Tighten the wheel bolts, using
the wheelbrace.
R e fi t t h e p r o t e c t o r s o n t h e b o l t s .
Return the ground clearance to
the normal position.
Ensure the tyre pressure is cor-
rect and have the balancing
checked.
Deflation detection
These wheels have tyre pressure
sensors. It is essential to have re-
pairs carried out by a CITROËN
dealer.
Anti-theft bolts
Each wheel is equipped with one
anti-theft bolt.
To remove it:
Remove the protector using tool 3 .
Use the anti-theft socket with the
wheelbrace. I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h
a spare wheel of a different
size to those on the vehi-
c l e , y o u m u s t n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
(80 km/h) whilst using the spare
wheel.
T h e w h e e l b o l t s a r e s p e c i fi c t o t h e
type of wheel.
If the type of wheel is changed,
check with your CITROËN dealer
that the wheel bolts are compatible
with the new wheels.
Take care to note down the code
number engraved on the head of
the anti-theft bolt socket. This will
enable you to obtain a replace-
ment anti-theft bolt socket from a
CITROËN dealer .
