Unclip the transparent cover of
the roof lamp to reach the bulb.
Bulb: W 5 W
Rear reading lamps (Tourer)
Detach the cover of the reading
lamp to access the bulb.
Bulb: W 5 W
Map reading lamp
Detach the cover.
If necessary, detach the partition
of the affected map reading lamp. Boot lamp
Detach the cover and use a
W 5 W bulb.
Pavement lighting
Detach the cover and use a
W 5 W bulb. Floor lighting

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
w h e n i t i s fl a t o r f o r s t a r t i n g t h e e n -
gine using another battery. Starting using another
battery
Access to the battery V6 HDi engine
The battery is located under the
bonnet.
To gain access to it:
open the bonnet using the inte-
r i o r l e v e r , t h e n t h e e x t e r i o r l e v e r ,
secure the bonnet strut,
remove the plastic cover to gain
access to the two terminals,
u n c l i p t h e f u s e b o x t o r e m o v e
the battery, if necessary. The battery is located in the boot un-
der the left-hand wing trim.
To gain access to it:
open the boot,
o p e n t h e fl a p a n d r e m o v e t h e
battery.
Lift the pins to remove the front
left headlamp cover (V6 HDi en-
gine).
Connect the red cable to the
p o s i t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t
battery A , then to the positive ter-
minal (+) of the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative ter-
minal (-) of the slave battery B .
V6 HDi engine: the positive ter-minal (-) is located under the red cover.
Connect the other end of the
green or black cable to the earth
point C on the broken down ve-
hicle.
Operate the starter, let the en-
gine run.
Wait until the engine returns to
idle and disconnect the cables.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle
towed or for towing another vehicle
using a removable towing eye.
Access to the tools
The towing eye is installed in the
j a c k b o x p l a c e d i n t h e s p a r e w h e e l .
To gain access to it:
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
remove the towing eye from the
j a c k b o x . Towing your vehicle
On the front bumper, unclip the
cover by pressing at the top.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Attach the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning
lamps on the towed vehicle.
Place the gear lever in neutral
(position N on the automatic
g e a r b o x ) . Towing another vehicle
On the rear bumper, unclip the
cover by pressing:
- on the right (Saloon),
- at the bottom (Tourer).
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Attach the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning
lamps on the towed vehicle.
Failure to observe this special con-
dition could result in damage to
certain braking components and
the absence of braking assistance
t h e n e x t t i m e t h e e n g i n e i s s t a r t e d . When towing with all four wheels
on the ground, always use a towing
bar.
When towing with only two wheels
on the ground, always use profes-
sional lifting equipment.
When towing with the engine off,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.

wheel, then secure the assembly
with the strap.

The tyre pressure is indi-
cated on the label located
on the left-hand door centre
pillar. On this label, the tyre pres-
sures are given, according to the
vehicle loading.
