COMFORT
Fully-folded position F l a p s b e h i n d t h e b e n c h s e a t
Move the corresponding front seat
forward if necessary.
Place the head restraints in the low
position.
Pull control A , to release the seat
back which folds easily onto the
seat cushion.
This manoeuvre is accompanied by an
automatic recoil of the seat cushion.

To put the seat back in position once
again:
Move the seat back backwards until
it locks in place.

A d j u s t i n g t h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t s
T h e 1 / 3 - 2 / 3 r e a r b e n c h s e a t i s fi t t e d
with head restraints.
They have a high position (for comfort
and safety) and a low position (for rear
visibility).
They may be removed; to do so:
pull the head restraint upwards as
far as possible,
then, press on the lug A .
When you are carrying rear pas-
sengers, never drive with the head
restraints removed. They must be
secured in place in the high posi-
tion. When putting back in position, be
careful not to jam the seat belts. E n s u r e t h a t t h e y a r e c o r r e c t l y fi x e d
to the seat back before any ma-
noeuvre.
E a c h fl a p i s fi x e d t o t h e r e a r o f
the seat by two removable plastic
clips.
T o d e t a c h t h e fl a p s f r o m t h e r e a r o f
t h e s e a t b a c k , p r e s s fi r m l y o n t h e
upper part of the two plastic clips,
downwards, to release them.
To avoid any risk of breaking, they
recoil if subjected to excessive
force.

Hooks
The hooks permit the securing of shop-
ping bags. Load space cover
This consists of three sections.
T h e f r o n t s e c t i o n i s fl e x i b l e , a n d t h e
central and rear sections are rigid.
The rear section is secured to the tail-
gate by two cords.
To remove it from the boot:
unhook the two cords,
gently lift up the cover to remove it
f r o m i t s fi x i n g s ,
remove the cover.
It can be stored under the movable boot
fl o o r , i f t h i s i s i n i t s h i g h p o s i t i o n .

Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.
C I T R O Ë N r e c o m m e n d s t h e u s e o f
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t -
ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level. As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To prevent accidental opening of the
doors and rear windows, use the
"Child lock".
Take care not to open the rear win-
dows by more than one third.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
The incorrect installation of a child
seat in a vehicle compromises the
child's protection in the event of an ac-
cident.
R e m e m b e r t o f a s t e n t h e s e a t b e l t s o r
the child seat harnesses keeping the
slack in relation to the child's body to
a minimum , even for short journeys.
For optimum installation of the
"forwards-facing" child seat, ensure
that the back of the child seat is in
contact with the back of the vehicle's
seat and that the head restraint does
not cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached
securely to prevent it from being thrown
around the vehicle in the event of sharp
braking.
Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forwards-facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied by
other children, cannot be used or are
absent.
Disarm the passenger air bag when
a "rearwards-facing" child seat is in-
stalled on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the air bag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
