A low additive level is indicated by light-
ing of the service warning lamp, accom-
panied by an audible warning and a
message on the multifunction screen.

However, check that the ter-
minals are clean and correctly
tightened, particularly in sum-
mer and winter.
When carrying out work on the battery,

taken before disconnecting the battery
and following its reconnection.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter

Depending on the environment (e.g.
dusty atmosphere) and the use of the
vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace them

environment.

CITROËN dealer without delay.
Unless otherwise indicated, check

and according to your engine.

Procedure for charging your battery

Access to the battery Starting using another battery
Connect the red cable to the posi-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A ,
then to the positive terminal (+) of
the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or black
cable to the negative terminal (-) of
the slave battery B .
Connect the other end of the green or
black cable to the negative terminal (-)

open the bonnet using the interior
lever, then the exterior lever,
secure the bonnet strut,
remove the plastic cover to gain
access to the two terminals,
unclip the fuse box to remove the

and vehicle batteries to a special
c o l l e c t i o n p o i n t .

Reconnect starting with the nega-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( - ) .
Check that the terminals and con-
n e c t o r s a r e c l e a n . I f t h e y a r e c o v -
ered with sulphate (whitish or green-
ish deposit), remove them and clean
t h e m .
At the risk of discharging the bat-
tery, the deactivated functions can
b e r e a c t i v a t e d m a n u a l l y .
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of cer-
tain functions in relation to the level of
c h a r g e r e m a i n i n g i n t h e b a t t e r y .
When the vehicle is being driven, the
load reduction function temporarily deac-
tivates certain functions, such as the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g , t h e r e a r s c r e e n d e - i c i n g . . .
The deactivated functions are reacti-
vated automatically as soon as condi-
t i o n s p e r m i t .
It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left un-
u s e d f o r m o r e t h a n o n e m o n t h . Before disconnecting the
battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off
the ignition before disconnecting

Close the windows and the doors
b e f o r e d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e b a t t e r y .
Following reconnection of the

The system puts together playlists (temporary memory) created over a period which depends on the capacity of the USB e quipment. The other sources are available during this time.
